Terrible service experience. Vehicle is with daughter at college in NY and needed service. I sent her there to hopefully avoid getting scammed, what a mistake that was. Preformed a service not even discussed, tried to charge me $1600 (parts and labor) for an issue regarding the check engine light coming on sporadically. I had previously had her get a diagnostic read out which identified a $60 intake solenoid malfunction. The dealership wanted to replace that along with several other related parts before verifying if that was the only problem. Of course I declined and asked that only the solenoid be replaced knowing that is was a 30 minute fix. When completed I received an invoice for $590 which included an oil change and rotation ( never asked for by my daughter ) I questioned why the job took 3.5 hours and was told the valve cover had to come off etc etc to replace the part. Having done my research prior, I knew that this was not true and questioned the advisor asking to speak with the manager. Eventually the invoice was reduced to one hour labor and N/C for the oil change that was never requested. Although they did the right thing, was it rly necessary to try to scam a 21 yoa female who dropped the car off. More
