Service department informed me they are unable to diagnose an engine tick without completely dissembling entire engine. They didn’t say hey we think it’s a valve or rocker arm or lifter, nothing, just that it’s 1500 to tear down your engine. And then parts and labor for whatever the issue is. To me that just doesn’t seem right. It implies to me that you don’t know what you’re talking about or doing and also that you’re going to end up costing me an excessive about of money fiddling around trying to find out what’s the matter.
