Thanks so much again Terri, & Maroone Honda...Happy & BLessed Thanksgiving & Christmas to Y'all!!! Bruce D from Chipita Park, CO More

Problems with the purchase of our new CRV We recently purchased a new CRV from Maroone Honda and unfortunately had numerous issues. We have listed most below for those who may be considering We recently purchased a new CRV from Maroone Honda and unfortunately had numerous issues. We have listed most below for those who may be considering purchasing a vehicle from this Honda dealership. Many of these issues were addressed but we had to contact the General Manager in order to get results. On the day we purchased our new vehicle everything seemed fine. They did a quick wash of the vehicle and we pointed out numerous white specs in the side window glass and white spotting on the paint. The salesman felt these would come off with a thorough washing and if not they would take care of it. When we arrived home we went to put temporary registration in the vehicle and discovered it and all the purchase paperwork had the wrong VIN# on all. We contacted the dealer and advised them we would come back to the dealership to get the paperwork corrected to the correct VIN#. The finance manager asked us “So what’s the problem?”. We drove to the dealership and received the corrected paperwork. We asked that the incorrect paperwork be shredded and the Finance Manager assured us he would. A few days later we discovered this was not true and any and all paperwork would be kept for three years. This could have lead to a serious issue if we had been involved in an accident or stopped by the police. The dealership did not feel this was a concern and said the problem would have been found during the monthly audit. The next day we found the white specs in the glass and paint was pitting and would not come off. Also, we found a large glob of paint on the top of the spoiler on the rear of the vehicle. We called the salesperson and he asked us to bring the vehicle in so they could inspect it. When we arrived the sales manager came out and advised us due to all the issues that needed to be fixed, they decided to exchange our new CRV for another new one. Although this had taken several hours of our time, we were happy with this exchange. The Sales Manager said he would personally walk the new vehicle paperwork to the finance department and would make sure the other vehicle paperwork would not be sent to DMV nor the HondaCare extended warranty and would make sure the new paperwork was sent. A few weeks later we received the HondaCare extended warranty packet and discovered it was for the prior / first CRV VIN#. We called again and contacted the GM as we were concerned not only about the warranty but that the wrong paperwork might have been sent to the DMV. The GM looked into this matter and called us back and advised he personally went to finance and confirmed the correct paperwork would be sent to DMV the next day. (This is when we found out the previous paperwork had not been shredded and had to be kept for three years). On the HondaCare he confirmed the wrong VIN had been sent in when we had been told by the sales manager that it was pulled. The correct VIN would be sent in and it would take approximately two weeks to get the new extended warranty packet. After two weeks we had not received anything from HondaCare. We called HondaCare and they advised the old/previous wrong VIN# extended warranty had been canceled. They added that the correct VIN# application for coverage was submitted but had an error in coding. HondaCare said they sent a notice to Mike Maroone almost two weeks earlier on the error but had yet to receive any response. We called the GM again and he spoke to the finance department. They said they will correct the application and send it to HondaCare. We waited several days then checked with HondaCare who verified it was corrected but said the dealership had not requested a packet be sent to us. We had to request the packet so that we would have the documentation of the extended warranty. It arrived a few days later. We also received a postcard from Mike Maroone Honda stating there was a recall on our new CRV. We called the service department. They confirmed there was a recall on the steering wheel issue but no fix had yet to be determined by Honda and once there was a fix we would be notified in writing. He stated this recall was issued approximately four months before we purchased the vehicle. We decided to contact Honda. After providing our VIN# we were informed the recall was not for our vehicle. However, there was a recall that only required a sticker to correct verbiage in the Owner’s Manual. The above are highlights to the experience we had with Mike Maroone Honda. The GM was responsive but this does not negate the fact these issues should never had happened in the first place. Also, the considerable amount of time we had to spend to find these serious issues and additional time to correct them is unacceptable. More
