All 3 employees I dealt with were very friendly and professional, even in the heart of price negotiations. This is the 6th new car I've bought, and it's the first time I didn't feel like I had to take professional, even in the heart of price negotiations. Terrible customer service. I went in to compare prices with other local dealerships and I guess that is frowned upon with Al Serra? When I want to buy a TV aren't I allowed to check Wal-Mart, Target, and with other local dealerships and I guess that is frowned upon with Al Serra? When I want to buy a TV aren't I allowed to check Wal-Mart, Target, and Best Buy? Apparently not with these guys. Jeff Eberhart got very frustrated when I said I didn't want to buy the truck on the same day that I went to look at them. They didn't even have the truck that I wanted to buy at the dealership, how can that nut expect me to buy a truck that I haven't even sat in? Will not be buying from these guys any time soon. More
I bought my Tahoe new in 2004 from Al Serra and have always taken it back for service and maintenance needs. I have always been treated with professionalism and caring. Mark Klever is great and very k always taken it back for service and maintenance needs. I have always been treated with professionalism and caring. Mark Klever is great and very knowledgeable, Tony Dice has taken over for him as Mark got a well deserved promotion. I have had so much confidence in this dealership that I went back in 2011 and bought a new Camaro, which also goes to Al Serra for all of its needs. Their prices are not out of line with other repair facilities and they have great customer service. Always a great group of people to work with. More

I sent my wife into Al Serra with the intent of having a re-occuring check engine light solved. Prior to this I had the engine code read and found it to be a mifire. Being of a mechanic background I removed re-occuring check engine light solved. Prior to this I had the engine code read and found it to be a mifire. Being of a mechanic background I removed the old spark plugs, applied anti-seize, gapped and installed new plugs, which were AC Delco Rapid Fire, Platinum Spark Plugs. I took caution to not over tighten them and finished it off with applying Dielectric grease for a good connection. After this I had the engine code reset and the engine light came back on again so I figured it was a job for the dealership. To summarize what happened, the dealership charged my wife $413.65 to install 4 spark plugs, diagnose an Air Bag light fault which she did not want diagnosed ($120.00 of the bill) and repaired nothing to that system. They said that the reason for the fault or misfire was that the spark plugs were not Platinum (see above) and that they were not gapped properly (Not sure what feeler gage they use at a dealer....). As usual, this dealership, like many, give real repair shops a bad name, provide services that are not requested, and overcharge the customer to overcome a lack in return business. Thank you Al Serra for not only overcharging a service member in the middle of an across country move, but taking advantage of their spouse. More
Nothing can describe the service I received from Al Serra North Chevy's service department, in particular Mark and his team. They went well beyond customer service to a level that I cannot describe or have e North Chevy's service department, in particular Mark and his team. They went well beyond customer service to a level that I cannot describe or have ever had. I took a vehicle in for service on Tuesday. After three days of unsuccessful diagnosis, I picked the vehicle up only to have it completely shut down 30 mins. later. After getting it running, I ran it back to the service department. They took down the additional information and got it fixed the next day. There was never any charge that was out of place, the price for five days worth of their service was so minuscule that I felt bad, and I know they lost money. Their only concern was fixing my problem with the utmost professionalism. They have earned a lifetime of my business and I will never considered another shop. After the quality of care I received, I know that Al Serra North will be my first stop when it comes time to replace the offending vehicle. I would place serious doubt on the sales department operating in any other fashion than the service department. Thanks guys! More
My 2011 VW Jetta Sportwagon TDI now has 40126 miles. Al Serra VW did the 10000, 20000, and 30000 mile services on this car that we bought from them in March 2011. I THOUGHT they were doing good service wor Serra VW did the 10000, 20000, and 30000 mile services on this car that we bought from them in March 2011. I THOUGHT they were doing good service work on my car each time but now I am not so sure. I just performed my own 40000 mile service today October 29,2012. THe OIL DRAIN PLUG STILL HAD THE FACTORY INSTALLED BLUE SILICON SEAL ON IT! This indicates that the oil drain plug has NEVER been removed since it left the factory. I was a little suspicious at the 10000 mile Al Serra oil change because I reported to the service manager that I smelled antifreeze. She told me she would tell the service tech to check it. When the car was ready for pickup, I thought she would volunteer the information about the antifreeze leak. She did not. I had to ask her . She said the technician investigated and could not find a leak. I mentioned the smell of antifreeze at the 20000 and 30000 mile service also. I even had the the service manager open the hood and she agreed that she could smell antifreeze. I am glad that I performed my own sevice at 40000 miles. I removed the engine bottom cover. I call it he "belly pan". I found some seepage at two different locations on a small hose in the center front and a big hose at the right rear of the engine. The belly pan has a liquid trail correspondinding to afformentioned bigger hose indicating where the majority of the antifreeze seepage is taking place. I replaced the factory drain plug with an OEM drain plug (and washer) I purchased from another VW dealer in Colorado Springs. I have kept the original factory plug with the blue silicone sealant for the record as proof. I now believe that the service techs at Al Serra VW have never removed the belly pan to inspect for the antifreeze leakage as they led me to believe. Have your car serviced there at your own risk. WORST PART? THEY'RE LIARS & FRAUDS!!! Two weeks after signing a contract they increased the payments by about $60/month. (Read on for full story.) We went to Al Serra VW on a Saturday and decided on lea signing a contract they increased the payments by about $60/month. (Read on for full story.) We went to Al Serra VW on a Saturday and decided on leasing a 2012 VW CC. After being told we were approved for 0% APR financing through VW we reached an agreement on price. They told us we could take one of the CCs they had on the lot right away but we didn't like the two colors they had, so they were going to bring in the car we wanted from another dealership. (We wanted the midnight blue or the white but they said there weren't any in the state, so we just settled for the silver.) We signed a contract, paid a deposit, and even received a "bill of sale" which included the car's VIN#. We were supposed to get the car on Tues/Wed of the coming week. Didn't happen. It took over two weeks for the car to arrive. We had already even gotten insurance on the car the first weekend as VW told us we needed to get it insured ASAP! When we finally got to the dealership to get the car over two weeks later, they said payments had INCREASED because VW didn't fully approve us. We were then told payments would be about $60 higher than the agreed price. However, we had already signed a contract and have a bill of sale with price and car's VIN#- how is that even possible? If VW hadn't approved for full financing, then why did they sell us the car and sign a contract for said price and terms? Al Serra VW is using fraudulent practices to trick people into business with them and then changing the terms of the agreements. Also, they knew two days after signing the contract that financing "wasn't approved" and they never even informed us until we went to the dealer to pick up the car- that's more than a two week period! Finally, we asked for copies of all the paperwork and they REFUSED to give us copies of any of the agreements/contract we signed. We refused to pay the new amount, especially without any proper notice, so we got the deposit back and will now have to go elsewhere to find a car. Be very CAREFUL!!! They'll LIE to get your business and then change the terms of agreement! We are getting a lawyer as we have lost money insuring the car, time, and are still without a much needed vehicle because we trusted VW. We are also reporting them to the Better Business Bureau (BBB), the Attorney General Consumer Affairs division, and VW headquater offices. Saddest of all, we have been forced to cancel our engagement celebration as we were counting on the car to travel a long distance for our celebration next weekend. Now, instead of celebrating, we'll have to use our vacation time to find another car. More
I have had a very disappointing experience with Al Serra and cannot recommend them. I went in 2011 to order a Golf R. I was told I was first on the list and should expect my R in January. When R's started t and cannot recommend them. I went in 2011 to order a Golf R. I was told I was first on the list and should expect my R in January. When R's started to be delivered in January I called and asked when the car I order would be in. I was told February. I called today (February) and was told that a 2 door would be in during March (I ordered a 4-door) and that the 4-door would not be here until mid May. I cancelled my order and will go to Emich in Denver and take one of their open slots. When I am first in line with a 4-door and I can't get it that is horrible service. Also, there was not communication from them I had to call and leave messages and call again to get any response. Avoid Al Serra VW. More
