Drove my hummer in for a diagnostic test and they wanted $6,000 to fix something that was brand new. I told them no and when I went to pick up my car it wouldn't start had to have it towed away. It appear $6,000 to fix something that was brand new. I told them no and when I went to pick up my car it wouldn't start had to have it towed away. It appears they sabatoged my vehicle. I had to pay $500.00 to fix what they screwed up. I'm reporting them to the better business bureau. More
I took my Silverado in for service on 6-29-22, after which they told me I had an oil pan leak. I questioned that since I had not seen any oil on my epoxy garage floor. They showed me a picture of the which they told me I had an oil pan leak. I questioned that since I had not seen any oil on my epoxy garage floor. They showed me a picture of the oil leak where I saw the leak was so slow that it was drying on the pan before it dripped on the ground. The estimated cost to repair was $2400 and they would not honor my bumper-to-bumper warranty that I had purchased with the truck (from another Chevy dealer). Thinking that the estimate was excessive, I took my truck to another Chevy dealer and ask them to check for an oil pan leak. They verified the leak and estimated the cost of repair to be $390, AND they honored my service warranty. I paid only the $100 deductible. $2400 was gouging!!! Maybe it was because my wife took the truck in for service. I don't know who she talked to. More
Customer service is the worst the Service Department Bought a brand new 2018 GMC Yukon Denali XL Paid 80k with with extended warranty coverage. 18 months into it I notice corrosion on my grill and other Bought a brand new 2018 GMC Yukon Denali XL Paid 80k with with extended warranty coverage. 18 months into it I notice corrosion on my grill and other chrome trim pieces. There is also corrosion spots on the special ordered chrome wheels. Took it in for oil change and talked to service dept about the corrosion and those pieces need to be replaced. Service manager refused to cover it and claimed it was because I used the wrong polish. I have been dealing with the GMC customer assistance line and I am getting no where. Customer service center called King GMC in Longmont and they told Customer service center I never talked to them and it wouldn't be covered anyway because of the Mag Chloride that is used on the roads here in Colorado. The GMC warranty clearly states corrosion is covered under the 3yr bumper to bumper warranty. More
Worked with Cody in the service department. I went in to get my catalytic converter fixed as it was under warranty. Cody informed me that a converter sensor was malfunctioning and I needed to replace it so get my catalytic converter fixed as it was under warranty. Cody informed me that a converter sensor was malfunctioning and I needed to replace it so they could tell if the catalytic converter was bad. Well, they lied to me. Just took it to a mechanic and my mechanic informed me the sensor is working fine. So I literally took it to the Chevy dealership in Loveland and they also told me the sensor was fine and replaced it by next day. You are dishonest Cody. Don’t trust King Chevy!!! More
He said/He said - but yet I'm out $900 and have a problem Please read this in its entirety and decide for yourself whether you wish to do business with King Chevrolet. I have a 2006 Impala LTZ that has bee Please read this in its entirety and decide for yourself whether you wish to do business with King Chevrolet. I have a 2006 Impala LTZ that has been a great car for many years. About 1 year ago, I had the oil sensor fail and I attempted unsuccessfully to replace it myself. In the process I shorted out the 'body control unit' which I understood to be a dealer only fix. Therefore, I towed my inoperable car to King Chevrolet. It took over a week and in the process I had a few conversations with the service manager. I requested that he please replace the oil sensor and change the oil and filter as well. It was a hefty bill, but worth it to get my car working again. Jumping ahead several months my next oil change came due and I took it to a local shop very close to my work. I was called by the shop manager and asked to please come inspect a problem they found. When they unscrewed the oil plug, it came out stripped and number of broken heli coil threads came out with the plug. In short - somebody previous to them had stripped the oil pan threads and had attempted put in a heli coil to fix it. This second shop manager was very concerned as to whether he could install a new plug and have it seal and hold oil. Thankfully it did. But it's only a temporary solution for a major problem. A couple days later I called King Chevrolet and spoke to a manager of the dealership. This person assured me they would address the problem and I just needed to bring the car back. That day I received a call from the service manager, the one I initially worked with and he told me that he had no record of making an oil change during the first service visit and the stripped oil pan was nothing they were responsible for. However they would fix it for the estimated cost of approximately $900. I told him that I had specifically asked for the oil to be changed as part of the initial work to address the body control module problem and he again stated, they have no service notes that they had actually changed the oil. I took the car from King and no further payment was made for their 'diagnostics' work of the stripped oil pan. So, in summary, I brought a difficult car repair to King Chevrolet and they did get my car working again, for which I was grateful. However, upon further service work (an oil change) I discovered a stripped oil plug and a very shoddy repair job, which is now a very expensive fix for me to incur. I cannot absolutely prove that King Chevrolet damaged my oil pan, but I certainly did asked them to change my oil, and according to the duration of my oil reset light, it appeared I actually had fresh oil in the car. In turn, King's service manager is stating that this damage is not theirs and they have no proof that they actually changed my oil as part of that initial service work. So, I'm out another ~$900. So I ask you the reader, is this the sort of place you wish to do business with? I have decided most certainly to never give King Chevrolet my business again. Above and beyond with an alignment problem My truck was showing abnormal tire wear and the steering wheel was not centered. Another dealer told me everything was "in spec" and the tire wear wa My truck was showing abnormal tire wear and the steering wheel was not centered. Another dealer told me everything was "in spec" and the tire wear was normal. Brad and the alignment specialist confirmed that yes, the alignment specs are in range but there is abnormal tire wear and the steering wheel is not centered. They took the time and effort to fine tune the alignment better and center the steering wheel. They also noticed that the truck was due for an oil change. After calling me to see if I wanted the oil changed, they also took the time to do that without prior scheduling. Brad even picked up my truck in the morning and delivered it back to my home that afternoon. More
