Trouble with replaced Transmission Have never had a problem with the sales people just with the Chrysler service department and the GM. We had our transmission replaced in our 2008 Jeep Liberty 3 yrs ago at Midway Motors in McPherson. This past month we had something happen that, according to the numerous mechanics that I spoke with, including the Service Manager at Midway, no one has ever heard happening. All the bolts came out of the transmission dropping it down, shearing off a bolt on the motor mount, bending the flywheel and various other damage. We had Jeep towed to another service center and had it repaired. We thought that since this is something that is almost unheard of that Midway would possibly assist on the cost but they say it is past their 2 yr warranty so we are stuck paying over $1100 to have it repaired. I just really feel that they let us down as it sounds like the bolts were not torked (spelling) and also there were no supporting rods found within the transmission. We were just lucky we weren't on the highway when this happened as who knows what could have happened. More

Would not trust this dealerlship I would not recommend this dealership. Our experience started out negative from the time we arrived at the dealership. We had called to ask question I would not recommend this dealership. Our experience started out negative from the time we arrived at the dealership. We had called to ask questions about a 2013 Chev Equinox that I had found advertised on their website. Before we drove the 2+ hours to view and drive the vehicle we called to ask questions about the condition and history of it. At first they could not find it on the lot and then we were told it was because it was in "detail". Obviously not because when we arrived 3 days later the inside of the car and engine compartment was very dirty and had almost 3,0000 miles more on the odometer than what was stated in the listing on the website. After Neil had found the vehicle and returned our phone call to describe the vehicle, Neil said that it was in perfect condition but never mentioned the dent in the back tailgate During negotiations of the vehicle we asked about trading wheels and tires from another Equinox that was featured on their website and were told that a sales person had driven it to show a prospective customer out of town and probably sold. At the end of our sale, we walked to our car and to my surprise, parked next to our personal vehicle was the car we were told was not available! They could have just said "no, we can't do that for you". After we made the deal on the 2013 Equinox Neil asked if we would like the car delivered to us since we had driven 2 hours to view the car. We certainly took him up on this offer since it was more convenient and told him that it would have to be Thursday or later since I would be out of town for a business conference until then. During this time we asked them to change the oil in the vehicle, remove the dent in the tailgate and detail it since obviously that had not been done. He agreed. Imagine my surprise when I received a call on Tuesday from a driver stating that my vehicle was sitting in my driveway and the keys were under the floormat. That was not what had been agreed upon and a huge inconvenience to me since I was out of town. I did not want my new vehicle exposed to the weather until I returned home, nor available for anyone to steal since the keys were left in it. After several phone calls to Midway Motors,( one of which they offered to come back and get the vehicle and take it to McPherson until I returned home; just what I wanted was more miles put on the car!) they did take it to a friends place of business so that it could be put in a garage. In their haste to deliver the vehicle the oil was not changed. The car had been washed but not detailed as we thought it would be. I highly recommend Chevrolet since the last new vehicle I purchased was 21 years ago and still own today. It has been the most dependable car I've ever owned. That is why I decided to purchase another. Midway Motors took the excitement out of buying a new car all these years later and turned it into nothing but a disappointment. More
I would highly recommend Brent Pelzel and his Management Team at Midway Motors. With high levels of expertise in completing the sales paperwork and knowledge of the Ford Flex, he made the delivery of the v Team at Midway Motors. He even picked me up at the airport in my new vehicle, as I flew into Wichita to take delivery of the vehicle. I would recommend him without reservation. From the actual delivery of the vehicle through the delivery checklist and ensuring that all Travelink features were operative, he showed that he was both familair with the systems as well as willing to make sure that everything was in order prior to me driving the car off the lot. Whatever you do when looking for a new or used car do not come here. Not even if you're desperate. They sold me a used Honda Accord and while on a test drive I was on it pulled to the left a bit. No big deal, I thought, so I bought it and scheduled an appointment to get it aligned. Come to find out the vehicle had been in an accident that was unreported by the previous owner and there was irreparable damage to the vehicle making it pull to the left. They're response? "It's yours now!" A couple days ago my check engine light came on. They said it had something to do with my transmission. Again, no big deal, I thought. I had bought the extended warranty for just such an emergency! (yay for being responsible and thinking ahead!) Today I was told my warranty ran out 2,000 miles ago. Lucky for Midway Motors Supercenter I guess! So here I am... stuck paying for a vehicle that I probably won't be able to sell due to the damage and now I have to buy a transmission even though I paid $2,000 for the warranty. Looks like Midway made a killing off of me!! Please. I beg of you. Take your business elsewhere. What's their motto? "Come be a part of the family."? If your family treated you like some sucker what would you do? More
On June 28 my Daughter and I were heading to Fort Beltkap Indian Reservation in Montana, when I started having car trouble. I pulled into the car lot of Midway Motors in McPherson, KS. Jon Rempel (General sales manager) met me at the door. I explained I was having trouble with my van, he took me to the service department. They confirmed my fears, the transmission was going out. Since my van was a Honda, they could not work on it because it was an import. I would have to take it to Salina, KS. 35 miles to the north. I called my husband in Arkansas, we tried without success to find a trailer to take the van, my daughter and me back home to Arkansas. Needless to say I was not having a very good day. My 9 year old daughter and I were 365 miles away from home, without my husband, in a strange town, and a broken down van. I was standing outside, shedding a few tears, praying "GOD what do I do now?" Jon must have seen me, he came up, ask what was wrong, I explained the person, I thought, that was going to come and get us, couldn't. While I was talking to Jon, I made the decision to trade. Jon took me to salesman Brent Pelzel. Brent found a Chevy Uplander in a nearby town. With my husband on the phone we traded a broken down Honda Van for a used running Chevy. That night my daughter and I spend the night in a very nice motel, provide by Jon. The next morning we were back on the road headed for Montana. I want to thank Jon and Brent for there concern and helpful attitude. GOD used them and Midway Motors to help me and my daughter when we were in need. More
