Chicagoland car shoppers, beware: Midway Autohaus is a waking nightmare you must avoid at all costs. My experience with this den of deceit has been nothing short of a horror story. From the owner to th waking nightmare you must avoid at all costs. My experience with this den of deceit has been nothing short of a horror story. From the owner to the finance manager, honesty is as foreign to them as an alien language. They slammed me with a $360 documentation fee only to fumble the paperwork, and then refused to correct their own bungles despite their hollow promises. Moe in financing is a master of treachery, sneakily adding ludicrous fees like a $1,195 "handling and prep" charge for what turned out to be nothing more than a glorified car wash. The most infuriating part? They flat-out refused to cancel a $3,400 extended warranty that Moe conned me into buying. Even after the warranty company and the financing bank directed them to return the funds, Moe defiantly refused. The vehicle warranty administrator specifically told Moe to mail me the refund, but he chose his commission over decency. But wait, it gets worse. They installed non-Mercedes Benz brakes on my car, botched the installation, and incorrectly placed the sensors. This forced me to rush to a genuine Mercedes service team to replace everything properly—a service for which I gladly gave a 5-star review. Customer service at Midway Autohaus is a tragic farce. They lied about fixing my registration errors, stalled for over a week, and played incessant phone tag. Their receptionist blatantly lied about Moe's presence while he was sitting right there. When I confronted Moe, he had the audacity to call the police on me in a pathetic attempt to intimidate me. In the end, I had to bypass their ineptitude and work directly with the finance company to correct the errors they claimed were unfixable. Despite this, I’m still waiting for my $3,400 refund. This dealership is a cesspool of deceit and scams. Hardworking Chicagoans, save yourselves the nightmare: steer clear of Midway Autohaus. Preserve your sanity, wallet, and time by avoiding this pit of dishonesty at all costs. More

Avoid this place!!! They sold my car on a consignment, kept and used my funds for two months. They did not keep up with a lot of things that has been promised and agreed upon. Not only verbally, there even was a breach of written contract, like changing the sales price without my approval. Twice. I'm talking here about thousands not hundreds of dollars. The vehicle was used for Tom's personal purposes for quite long time, which wasn't a part of a deal. They lied to me through their teeth, denying everything they obligated to and what was in their way to deceive me. They intimidate and black mailed me. All this looks like a con artist practice. They were trying to screw me over my car's title demanding the title without providing a payment, even though they got paid for the car the day they sold it! I had been intimidated by salesman Tom. He threatened me several times that if I do not provide the car's title prior to paycheck, they will apply for a duplicate. Honest and safe offer for both sides 'title for check' was not an acceptable option for them. In order to screw me over they wanted to place themselves in a position of power - keep the money and title. Basically, creating option to overtake my car that way. Initially I have been told that I can pick up the check by the end of October. On Oct. 28th Tom told me that I can pick up the check on Nov.6th... Nov. 6th passed, still no check and Tom was pretending like nothing has happened... Between Nov. 6th and Nov.15 I had made several attempts to at least find out when I can get my check. Unsuccessfully. On Nov. 15th. when I went there to discuss the issue in person, a funny looking - but aggressive - guy told me to leave... Apparently, they were not done yet playing their games. Eventually, it turned out that they respond well to magic password - 'the Secretary of State Police'. Without this option I would probably never get my money back. On top of everything, they had audacity to deducted late fee from my check! Stealing my money as a matter of fact! Even thought they were the ones who dragged the process to extreme point! Since a car takeover didn't work out well, they have to pleased themselves at least with a couple hundred of dollars. Btw, they obviously are asking for a nice audit. One star is like a Nobel price to them, what they deserve is less than nothing! This place is clearly oriented only on your wallet, you can smell that unscrupulous grid lives there. Staff's "cordial" smile will vanish right after they "got you". They will immediately show their true colors. Business ethic sounds to them like quantum physic theories to newborn spider. Tom, the salesperson who was mainly "assisting" me throughout the process, deserve a special paragraph here, besides him being disrespectful, he is a good preacher too. He will paternalize and preach you how not to act at such noble site like this filthy place. Rule number one, you cannot just walk in and ask for your own money they have been using for two months - no interest. They will call you when they choose so. When? When they feel like. Most likely never. Basically, no answer to that. You can't call them either. Tom is busy, after all he is at work, he will eventually hang up on you. What he apparently did when he ran out of his deceptive sayings. There is much more of well documented details to this story, I'm just not into wasting my valuable time on a secondhand car warehouse run by ego-driven staff. If, despite all warnings that are being posted about this place by numbers of "satisfied" customers, you choose to go there, keep your eyes wide open, leave your trust at home and pray for a miracle. Lo and behold. I WOULD SAY DON'T DEAL WITH THEM OR BUY ANYTHING FROM THEM. I believe that there are honest people in car business too. Spend your hard-earned money at places where people are demonstrating certain business standards. More
I brought a Cadillac DTS and I am pleased with my purchase and price of the car. I live over 300 miles away from Midway Autohaus. I saw the vehicle online advertised in their inventory. They had a car that would have worked for me, but there were a few items that they were not willing to repair . The manager & salesperson were professional, but I believe it was a consignment car, so they were a few items that they were not willing to repair . I was very happy with the buying process, the sales was very smooth, I mentioned a headlight code to the sales rep, which she took a pic and showed it to Lukasz, (repair shop manager), which he assured me very smooth, I mentioned a headlight code to the sales rep, which she took a pic and showed it to Lukasz, (repair shop manager), which he assured me they will fix it, and they gave a promise note they were going to fix it within 30 days, which it was awesome since the car was sold as is, i finally was able to drop the car a week or two weeks later, after a lot back and forth with him, he said they were going to check and get back to me as soon as car was ready, they took two weeks, and finally decided to pick up the car, since every time I talked to him seems they’re were not doing anything to the car, I called him on Tuesday and told I I was picking the car, and his response was the car was not ready, that they it was going to take one more day, I insisted that I was picking the car anyway, I showed up and he then told me that he order the parts, to stop by the following week, which increased my frustration that he was just lying and pushing days, if I knew that they were not going to fix the car like they promised, I would it walk away and find anothe car somewhere else.
