I took my 2017 Grand Cherokee in for a knocking issue. They initially told me it was a broken valve. A ONE DAY job and $200. That didn't fix it. About a month later, they have replaced almost the entire top half of the motor. Costing me another $1700. And still, the problem remained. So after being with no vehicle for over 2 months, no loaner, and out almost $2000 they still couldn't fix the problem. Their solution? I need an entirely new engine. That being another $5000 out of pocket. And during these 2 months they had almost a complete turnover of employees in their service department. The boss, who I hadn't met or talked until this time, assured me that no one had been fired. When he asked who told me that, I almost laughed. I was told by a manager they just fired. All this despite the fact that within one week there was all but one person who wasn't new. And the manager I had been dealing with was just fired a few days before. They will dispute this, I'm sure. But I still have all my texts and emails from these people who are "still there". And these texts explicitly state they were no longer employed there and I am to call the shop directly for any assistance. I finally gave up and took my jeep to a reputable mechanic who has done good work for me in the past. The most important thing anyone should take from this, is that I spent $1700 for ABSOLUTELY NOTHING getting fixed. They tried saying that it wasn't for nothing since I got all those new parts installed. Well, considering they charged me for parts that were obviously unrelated to the problem, I still say I was charged for nothing. More
