Service Dept Charges Too Much/Charge for Unnecesary Work Cindy is excellent. She is friendly, explains service well and is quick to process my service order. I enjoyed dealing with her. Also, getting a loaner was quick, easy & seamless. However, after diagnosis, I was told I needed a new AC air filter - and that is was all clogged. When I remarked that I had that replaced earlier this year, they quickly revised that to not needed. What?? So this was simply a blatant attempt to charge me unnecessarily for something that wasn't needed. And I caught them in a lie because if they truly did check the filter they would have seen it had already been replaced. So why would they tell me it was all clogged??! Turns out they never checked it, they just assumed I needed a new one because they did not have any record of it being replaced, In addition, reason why so many choose to go to other places, such as independent auto services, garages are the high labor charges, rates your service dept charges. My work cost almost $2,000!! Cindy tried to give me break on charges where she could but still too much. I was told they threw in an oil change & air filter for free (which was not needed, I had that done recently) which is nice but then she said she calculated that into the over all service discount. Ok, so basically I was discounted charges for something I never needed nor requested (or was told prior to service they would do). So it looks good on paper, but really the discount was partly bogus because it accounted for an oil change and air filter that was not needed (or requested). Trust is huge for auto service and I have to be honest that there were two untrustworthy occurrences in my recent experience. One was a lie about a service that wasn't needed and another on the discount. My 2005 Acura TSX is almost 11 years old, and next year I may be in the market for a new car. I'd like to stay with an Acura and consider Herb Connolly Acura as the place I take my business but the untrustworthy experiences I had make it hard for me to consider returning to Herb Connolly for future service or auto purchase. I usually ask to be driven to Shoppers World with their complimentary shuttle while my car is being serviced. The staff is always friendly and the facility is beautiful. They provide me with detail information on items that need attention on my car and are more than happy to look at my concerns. On a more humorous note, during our last visit our right side speaker was vibrating and make a rattling sound. We thought we might need a new speaker. The service department looked at the speaker and the area around it and noticed that my son had left toys rattling around that we didn't notice. Problem solved and they were happy to assist. We keep our regular maintenance appointments and have never been disappointed. Going to Herb and working with the service area is truly a wonderful experience. More

Got mdx repaired for free after finding old TSB After our car was parked for a few days, the battery would drain and car would need jump start. We complained to dealership starting with first occurrence during warranty period 4 years ago. Recently we found [TSB 08-057] HandsFreeLink (HFL) Doesn't Work SYMPTOM The HandsFreeLink (HFL) system doesn’t work, and the battery sometimes won’t start the vehicle from Acura. TSB said: In warranty: The normal warranty applies. Our first complaint about the drain was during warranty. After initial review here which got managers' attention, dealership replace the unit for free. That increased my rating and return trust. More

I was faced with a difficult service need just before an important business trip where I had few options. Mike Burns and the very capable service team took my worries away by replacing my clutch and setting me up in a vehicle to attend to my business commitments without a hitch. Equally important the clutch was installed with precision craftsmanship and below the quoted estimate, reminding me why I have been purchasing and servicing my Acura's at Herb Connolly for the past 20 years. Positive sales and service experiences We purchased new, a 1998 Integra for my wife and a 2002 TL-S for myself and have had them serviced at the dealership ever since. The sales associates we dealt with no longer work there and over the years, we have dealt with several different service personnel. All our experiences there have been pleasurable, both in sales and service. Their service is top-notch as they always strive to please the customer trying to achieve the best possible customer ratings - as if they are in continuous competition with other Acura service departments. As a result, the customer feels like they are being pampered when their car is in the shop and afterwards, are confident that the work was done right and professionally. Their free offering of loaner cars and the complimentary wash/vacuum after each service are extra added bonuses. More
I have been a customer of Herb Connolly Acura Service Department for 6 years. The service department has consistently taken care of any and all issues I may have had.
