Failed to change oil before delivery. What else did the ignore? Tires were all low pressure and oil was low. Wilson Toyota rotated the tires, filled them with proper pressure, Checked all fluid levels. This is all work that should have been done By metro Toyota prior to delivery of my highlander. I no longer trust Metro Toyota to service a vehicle according to the customer's best interest. Yes I do plan to share my experience with others. Kathy Yoder worked hard to get me the car I wanted. More
Ken & Jon were great to deal with. I called on the phone inquiring about a vechicle that they had on their lot. They held that vehicle for me until I could get down there to see it. Livivng 1 1/2 hrs away I thought that was very nice of them. Theey were veery friendly & knowledgeable. The vehicle that I bought was a very good quality and well taken care of. They handed my a copy of the car fax as soon as I walked through the door. That sure make you feel better about the car you are interesting in buying. Our salesman, Dean, did a fantastic job on giving us the necessary explanations and help that we needed. On the other hand, Brendon "Ski" Zabavski, the person that we dealt with for financial and additional necessary explanations and help that we needed. On the other hand, Brendon "Ski" Zabavski, the person that we dealt with for financial and additional warranty information needs to undergo further training in customer service. He referred to us as "you guys" so many times that we thought we were at a football game. His only interest was to get us to spend more money on insuring the vehicle. I would recommend Dean, but I would not recommend Mr. Zabavski. More
Everything about this purchase was amazing. I live 3 hours north of this dealership, so most of the transaction was done over the phone. I have purchased many vehicles in my life but I can honestly say this was my absolute best experience. Ken saw me drive up and greeted us outside his office. He not only met our needs on car and price but he solved the situation with the car we bought from him in May. My husband took me to Metro Toyota to replace my 14 year old Dodge Caravan. We had bought a 2008 Toyota Avalon and were impressed with the design and performance, the sales staff and service department. S old Dodge Caravan. He asked what I needed besides basic transportation. I am short and truly loved the van because it gave me a different view of traffic while driving. I told him that he needed to convince me that I could feel safe and have good visibility in "just a car". After listening to me he had me test drive a 2012 Camry--at night, in rain/sleet, and on both highway and local streets. I was convinced that the Camry could be my new vehicle, but Scott made an observation and asked me to drive a Camry SE for comparison. He had noticed how I positioned myself too close to the steering wheel and could be at risk of serious injury if the airbag had deployed. The Camry SE had seat height adjustments, a lumbar support, and a tilting/telescoping steering wheel that allowed me to be positioned at a better distance while still supporting my needs. Scott's observation and concern for my safety and comfort made the decision simple! Brendon Zabavski and Brad Cole made the purchase process easy. I'll gladly recommend Metro Toyota and Scott Zantjer to anyone who wants to look for a vehicle to drive with confidence. I am very happy with my purchase of a 2004 Infini I35 auto and treatment by Ken Karakula of Metro Toyota in Kalamazoo, MI. I am a Chicago resident and conducted most of the deal by phone. After seeing the car advertised on Auto Trader, I checked out the Carfax report on this auto verifying low mileage of about 37,000 and that the car was first titled and remained in Kalamazoo. My basic method of purchasing a used car is to find a top quality and highly reliable model that is 5-6 years with low mileage. I call this good value. The Infiniti met this standard so I checked out Metro Toyota and found that it had an excellent reputation. I then called Ken and asked him a number of questions about the condition of the car. Ken told me the car was a local trade in (meaning it was not purchased at auction where there is an increased possibilty of a car that has been in a major accident or water damaged). I was most interested in getting a description from Ken of the inspection a first-class dealer makes of a used car. It takes a lifetime to build up a good reputation and a first class dealer does not want to jeopardise it by selling an auto likely to make a customer unhappy. Ken was very open to me in describing on the phone that the condition of the interior was a "9" and the exterior an "8" due to some minor damage of the plastic bumper in one area. Ken answered all of my questions about the condition of this car and about any issues in buying an out of state car and he did so without any form of pressure or evasion. Ken gave me a real price which was of course a good reduction from the listed price. The price was fair. I had researched several different sources to determine pricing and was satisfied with the price proposed if the car was in the condition described since a 2004 Infinity with low mileage is hard to find anywhere in the country. Don't forget that the Dealer has to make a living too. I took a train to pick up the car from downtown Chicago which ended up being hours late but Ken was kind enough to keep the Dealership open on a Friday night when he could have been home with his family. The condition of the car was as Ken told me on the phone and there were not any speed bumps or other problems at closing. I would be happy to buy a car from Ken again or to send family or friends as well. In the long run, you are much better off getting a used car from a first-class Dealer which Metro Toyota is. More
