Its been in the shop for 7+ months. The dealer will not exchange it and service cannot properly fix it. The vehicle was customized by Roush and sold new by an authorized dealer. When something related to the Roush parts fails, it does not count under Ford warranty and lemon laws. Therefore, you cannot get a lemon claim and have to continue to have the car repaired. This is not the cash with Shelby and Cobras that are built by Ford. Funny loophole that cost me tens of thousands of dollars and the dealer knew this would happen. Ended up going to Dallas dealership to get future repairs done. Their add-on products are also a waste of money, such as the "Royal Treatment" prepaid oil changes that save you $15 per oil change and do not even cover the majority of a synthetic oil change cost. I will unlikely even get a discount benefit equal to the amount of the plan. More
Feel like I was fully fooled and taken advantage of! They sold me a used Toyota Tundra truck. I am pleased with the truck, but my overall experience has left me feeling as though I was taken advantage of They sold me a used Toyota Tundra truck. I am pleased with the truck, but my overall experience has left me feeling as though I was taken advantage of. After taking a test drive, we returned to the dealership and I was given what they were going to give me for a trade in. I didn't like the trad in process they were going to give me as I had done extensive online research and expected at least $1,500 more than what they offered me. I was about to leave to go look at another truck on another lot when a couple, who literally seemed to have come from out of nowhere to test drive the truck. As I was speaking to the salesman about the possibility of getting more on my trade or a lower price when the couple returned and claimed that they were ready to take it. At this point I'm upset with myself for not seeing through their use of these "shills". They informed me that this new couple was wanting the truck. Now, I felt as though the price of the truck as relatively fair, based on what I had seen on my research and the truck had all of the features and the mileage I found acceptable. I really wanted the truck they had for sale and I wanted to think about it, but due to their snake oil trickery, I felt like I was backed into a corner with no other option, because yes, I did want this truck. when I spoke with the salesman further I told him that my primary objective wasnt necessarily the sticker price of the truck, but the overall monthly payment as I wanted to stat within a certain budget. He assured me that they could get close. They couldn't and though it was a more than I said I was comfortable paying, I felt as though I wasnt given the chance to reject what I was being shown as things started getting put in front of me to sign with the belief that I was signing paperwork to allow them to get my payment estimates and interest rates from their lenders, credit check etc. Well that was not the case as apparently I was agreeing to their terms and agreeing to a payment that I told them I was uncomfortable with. Though I do like the truck I purchased I don't feel at all right or comfortable with my deal, the amount they gave me for my trade-in or how I was treated or just dealt with once I got back to the financing department. I was also initially told that the vehicle had two sets of keys, however, I was told that they couldn't find the other key ser and there was now nothing they could do for me. I contacted a Toyota dealership and another set of keys looks to be several hundred dollars. I was also not given the key to the "roll n lock" bed cover before I left, but when I called to inquire about it, they had found it, though never contacted me to tell me they had. I returned a day later to pick up the "roll n lock" key I was not given, and again spoke with my salesman (Ronnie Hughes) who asked how I felt about everything. I informed him that I do really love the truck but I don't feel good about our deal, how I was tricked or what I was given for my trade in as my research showed me that I should've gotten at least $1,500 more for my trade in. He went on to explain to me how they don't use blue book or nada and such, but they use something called blackbook and they go off the number that website gives, so he gave me the website they use, I looked it up on my phone and naturally the value it showed me was $1,700 more, at it's lowest quoted price, and about $2,900 more, at it's highest, than what they gave me on the trade in of my truck. Then, when I pointed this out to him, he retracted and said "No, that's what we use to price the vehicles when we sell them. That's not the actual trade in value for your truck." I told him I didn't believe or agree with him and that I just feel like I was taken advantage of and fell for the oldest trick in the book. He then just laughed and said "Are you serious?" and when I told him that I was he just said sorry and ran inside and then into the front office I was told was the managers office. I sat out front and in my truck for a few minutes and he never resurfaced, so I just left. I am very unhappy with how I was treated and the deal I got, but apparently I just fell for one of the oldest tricks in the book and have to live with it. I am planning to refinance the vehicle and hope I can get closer to the payment I want with another bank or credit union as I do like and enjoy the truck. I am writing this in hopes that they won't be able to do this to anyone else. Please be aware going into this dealership that they are completely dishonest, untrustworthy and underhanded. More
