Buying my leased compass was such a problem with Fusion! I called Scott Froehlich and he took over. He’s kept me informed throughout the whole ordeal. Not only was he competent he was very enjoyable to work I called Scott Froehlich and he took over. He’s kept me informed throughout the whole ordeal. Not only was he competent he was very enjoyable to work with. Great sense of humor & kindness throughout this ordeal. He was the business manager I used during the lease purchase and I highly recommended him then! Thank you again Scott! More
The worst experience I have ever had with any Jeep dealer. The worst customer service I’ve ever experienced. My husband leased a Jeep mid May and paid extra to have factory leather seats installed ins dealer. The worst customer service I’ve ever experienced. My husband leased a Jeep mid May and paid extra to have factory leather seats installed instead of the cloth it came with. It is now July and this still has not been resolved. I call the dealership every week and I get told someone will call me back but of course no one ever does. The last time I called I was so called transferred to Scott and James but was hung up on both times. I called and spoke to a manager who said I will get a call back and I am still waiting. I always use the Jeep in Hempstead for myself and have never had any issues. The only reason we came to this one is because Hempstead didn’t have the exact Jeep we wanted and this one did. We really regret our decision in coming here. More
This is the worst experience I have ever had at a dealership. Had an appointment to drop my car off for a recall. It was chaos when I arrived and I did not have a good feeling. They tell me they w dealership. Had an appointment to drop my car off for a recall. It was chaos when I arrived and I did not have a good feeling. They tell me they will call me when it's ready. No one calls me. I called late in the afternoon and am told that no one has worked on my car. I ask, why would give me an appointment if you're too busy to take the car. I could have brought it in the next day. I was then promised the car would be done the following day. The next day, after waiting all morning, I start calling to check on when my car will be ready. I'm told my advisor had a "family emergency" and was not it. They will reassign to another advisor and call me back. No one calls me back. After about 5 telephone calls and a call to Dodge Corporate office, finally I get a new advisor. He tells me they were unusually busy that day and will start work on the car but I can't pick it up that day because it won't be finished until after hours. He promises it will be ready the next day. Day 3 comes, no one calls me. I call and am told it is ready. When I go to pick it up, they can't find my paperwork. Unbelievable. I finally get the car and when I look at the paperwork, the time actually spent on the car by the mechanic was about 20 minutes total. They worked on it from 17:31 to 17:50 on day 2. This means it was finished at 4:50 on day 2, but I still was not allowed to pick it up. I will never buy another vehicle from this dealership and certainly would never go there for service again. On top of it all, one of the "valets" was blatantly walking around completely maskless throughout the showroom, talking to people, and no one is saying anything. Everyone else did have their masks on. More
Holy crap the horror show at this place is ridiculous. STAY AWAY AT ALL COSTS AND MAKE THE TRIP EAST. I leased a 2020 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited and Wayne helped me. The truck had a defect from the plant STAY AWAY AT ALL COSTS AND MAKE THE TRIP EAST. I leased a 2020 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited and Wayne helped me. The truck had a defect from the plant with the rear hatch / trunk. It was installed crooked. I had to bring the truck back to the dealership 3 times. It was never fixed properly to the point where the dashboard clearly indicated the trunk needed to be closed. After I picked up the truck after the 3rd time there was an obvious stain of compound from the body shop on the driver's seat. The truck at this point had less than 1000 miles. When I brought the stain to their attention - the blamed it on a denim stain from my jeans (black leather seats!!). They declined to service the vehicle and essentially told me to kick rocks. I attempted to reach out to the owner directly and that was a waste of time. After being escalated to Jeep/Chrysler corporate - they advised me that this dealership has this reputation and to go to a nearby Jeep dealership to get a second opinion. I brought truck to Security Dodge and worked directly with their warranty department (Dylan). He reached out to Jeep corporate and helped get my seat replaced, and trunk aligned PERFECTLY. STAY AWAY FROM MERRICK DODGE. This place is a joke. I am now getting my truck serviced (oil changes, tire rotations, etc.) at Security Dodge as I don't want to waste ANY TIME at Merrick Dodge. Thanks for making this experience terrible for me. More
Wayne from Merrick Dodge hooked me up. Having been through the car purchase process before, I wasn't terribly excited about getting a new one. That was until I went to Merrick and met Wayne. He got through the car purchase process before, I wasn't terribly excited about getting a new one. That was until I went to Merrick and met Wayne. He got me into the exact Ram 1500 I was looking for. It was almost too good to be true...and I say this, because **other** dealerships really will say anything to get a sale...With Merrick, I actually got straight up honesty. They won my business and I will be back for more. Cannot believe how smooth of a transaction this was. Not to mention, Wayne stayed extra late to get the deal done. I traded my Jeep in, transferred all possessions to my new truck and was out of there in a matter of 1hr. I got a great deal. Financing was painless. Thank you for making my life easier!! More
This dealership is the absolute worst avoid at all costs, my car has been at this dealership for over a month now. The car has not been worked on at all since it’s been there, each week they have a new story my car has been at this dealership for over a month now. The car has not been worked on at all since it’s been there, each week they have a new story that completely contradicts the story of the previous week, absolutely incompetent, rude , unaccomidating. My car is brand new and under warranty so I get the luxury of making payments on the car while it sits their indefinitely, there rental coverage is horrible it takes them 2 days to set up, because when your car brakes you need a rental 2 days later insane, horrible experience don’t buy Jeep, don’t buy warranty certainly never buy from Merrick, and if your current Jeep does break down pay out of pocket to tow it somewhere else it’s worth every cent to avoid this dealership. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!!!! I have purchased 5 vehicles from the dealership. Long story short, a tree fell on my car while waiting for a recall. On a Friday morning they call saying the car is ready, on my driv the dealership. Long story short, a tree fell on my car while waiting for a recall. On a Friday morning they call saying the car is ready, on my drive home I notice my vehicle has a new windshield, so I pull over notice there is a dent in my roof. I go back to the dealer they said a tree fell on my car and thought they fixed it. THE NEW SERVICE MANAGER TRIED TO COVER IT UP AND GIVE ME BACK MY CAR THAT WAS DAMGED IN THIER POSSESSION. A tree falling on my car is not their fault but not telling me is. I expected more from the people at the dealership, but needless to say from the management down just a bunch of xxxxxxxx. More
In the past I have leased and finance two vehicles respectively from this dealership. I have never had issues with the salesmen that I have dealt with. This review rating is for the service and parts respectively from this dealership. I have never had issues with the salesmen that I have dealt with. This review rating is for the service and parts departments. They are laid back people who simply don't give a xxxx about customers. In the past when I would need an oil change or tire rotation I would have to make an appointment and wait at least 2 weeks. I used to be so frustrated and annoyed! And this was with the same cars I leased and financed from them. Fast forward to Monday, August 10th. I took my 2015 dodge challenger to service. A technician drove it and determined that it needed a drive shaft. The drive shaft was ordered that day and I was told that I had to wait 2 weeks. My frustration level increased immediately! After almost 2 weeks I called and checked on the status of the drive shaft. Someone in parts told me it will arrive on Thursday, August 27th. When I checked again on Monday, August 24th, I was told by someone in parts that it will not be in until September 2nd! Are you kidding me!!! I am waiting now about 3 weeks for an AMERICAN part for an AMERICAN car in AMERICA in 2020!!!!! I decided to involve chrysler corporate, but that was totally useless. I don't know what's the point of dealing with corporate in these matters!!! I decided to take my car to a drive shaft shop who will do the work much sooner and for much cheaper!!!! Except for sales, don't deal with service or parts. They are incompetent, mediocre folks who are too laid back and couldn't care less how long you have to wait to get satisfaction with your vehicle!!!! Three weeks for a part!!!! This must be 1950 or some xxxx!!!!! More
I have leased 3 vehicles consecutively from Mike V. at Merrick Dodge. Unfortunately, the last experience showed me what a liar and xxxx of a salesman he is. We made a deal to turn in my Ram early and get Merrick Dodge. Unfortunately, the last experience showed me what a liar and xxxx of a salesman he is. We made a deal to turn in my Ram early and get into a Jeep. Mike agreed to pay the final payment and dispo fee to make the deal happen. About three months later I got a certified letter from lease company because it was never paid. After, chasing Mike and the manager around for a month they assured me they paid the bill. A year later when getting ready to close on my house the mortgage company informed me that the bill was never paid and I had a hit on my credit. It was at this point that Mike really started with the crazy lies - "the files in the attic", "the boss is sick", "I have it on my desk first thing tomorrow" after three weeks I went into the dealership where Mike lied to the owner and said it was never agreed too. Luckily for me I had the screen shots of every text back and forth where he assured immediate it would be paid in full. Long story More
