Ripped off!! Towed my car to them with dead battey. Told them to call me and let me know my options. They called me to tell me I needed a battery and if I didn't pay them $160 for it I would have to pay $11 them to call me and let me know my options. They called me to tell me I needed a battery and if I didn't pay them $160 for it I would have to pay $110 for a diagnostic fee. I explained they never told me this in advance, never told me in advance that my warranty expired 9 days earlier and even though I never signed any paperwork authorizing anything they threatened to hold the car hostage until I pay for the fee. Keith, the service manager is a joke and could not be more unprofessional. Based on other reviews I have read, these things happen all the time at this dealership. Avoid at all costs. More
Bought a 2002 Dodge Ram 1500, 5 hours after taken it home it wouldn't start, then all the oil leaked out, the braked are completetly worn (need everything front and back), the tires are bald and the passenge it wouldn't start, then all the oil leaked out, the braked are completetly worn (need everything front and back), the tires are bald and the passenger morror fell off on the 495 because it was rigged on. The dealership will not return my calls and will not fix any issue after the oil leak, they will not show me invoices on all work done on this truck and prove to me that there was a 360 degree inspection on the truck when I purchased it. They also lied to the bank for finance approval and I almost lost the truck. More
The people I dealt with here were very accommodating. I am very pleased I chose this dealership. I had been looking around and I came here looking for a Jeep Grand Cherokee. Other dealerships I had been to am very pleased I chose this dealership. I had been looking around and I came here looking for a Jeep Grand Cherokee. Other dealerships I had been to treated me like they had no time for me. My Salesman was very professional and made me feel like I was in the right place. I didn't feel pressured which is also how I had felt at other dealerships. I would definitely recommend this dealership to anyone who is looking for a new vehicle. I will be back when it's time for my next car. More
Here Is the Dealership updated Name and address: Here Is the Dealership updated Name and address: Merrick Dodge Chrysler Jeep 3614 Sunrise Highway Wantagh, NY 11793 My advice is to be caref Here Is the Dealership updated Name and address: Merrick Dodge Chrysler Jeep 3614 Sunrise Highway Wantagh, NY 11793 My advice is to be careful if you decide to buy from this Dealership. There are many other reputable Chrysler Dealers that you can work with. I had an awful buying experience. It actually started out good. Entered into contract for vehicle with Employee Pricing Plus before the Chrysler Bankruptcy. They kept me regularly updated about things. Then, in July I was told that the order was cancelled as a 2009 and would be rolled over as a 2010. Dealer said the original contract will not be honored and gave me deposit back. They put the blame on the Corporate side of the company for the Deal not being honored. This was not true as I found out later! When they told me the deal would not be honored, they made no effort whatsoever to renegotiate or keep my business. After this, I learned from a Customer Service Representative at Chrysler's Incentives hotline, Chrysler will honor the pre-bankruptcy deals on orders rolled over as 2010s. Since my Vehicle Order Number was still active in their system with my name on it and it showed the Date of the order, Employee Pricing was available to be honored. Customer Service also said that GMAC is now the Chrysler lender and they would honor both the 0% financing and $1000 Cash Back. The Dealer would just need to call them and prove that a buyer was eligible at the time of the original contract and that their credit rating is still good enough to be eligible. My order even came in with my name on the Sticker! If it was cancelled why does the Sticker have my name on it? Merrick Dodge CHOSE not to honor the original deal and made me believe it was the Corporate side of Chrysler that made this decision. Being a member of several internet forums I learned that there are several good Dealerships that did honor the pre-bankruptcy Employee Pricing Plus Deals. One in particular is Herbee Dodge of West Islip. It is too bad I did not go there originally. After initially getting my deposit back, Merrick made no effort whatsoever to try to keep my business as stated above. Weeks went by and I did not hear from them. I later learned that the model options had changed for 2010 and I now could get a lower optioned vehicle that would meet my needs and was in my price range that I could afford. Stupidly, in retrospect, I went first back to Merrick Dodge to see if I could get a fair price. I dealt with a different salesman on a Saturday, do not remember his name and asked for his best price and he quoted me the MSRP price. I said, “that is MSRP, can’t you do better than that?” He stated that they make no money on this vehicle, would not budge off MSRP, and asked me if I know how much they make. I left right after that. And actually I do know how much they make. As an aside for anyone reading this there is a website Truecar.com that gives Factory Invoice, MSRP, and REAL INVOICE prices for all makes and models of vehicles. I ended up going to another Dealer the following Monday and getting a deal I could live with. Two days later I get a call from my original salesman at Merrick saying they don't want to lose me as a customer. What a joke! Now after all the BS they put me through they want to consider making me a better deal. They still made no effort whatsoever to honor the original deal which would have been the RIGHT thing to do, and they KNOW they could do this. I am ok with the deal made at the other Dealership and let them know I made another deal. Their response was to disparage this other Dealership. Like the pot calling the kettle black. Unbelievable! So in addition to losing me as a New Vehicle customer forever, they lose my warranty work, aftermarket work, and any maintenance work for this vehicle. I will also STRONGLY NOT RECOMMEND this Dealer, to family, friends, neighbors, and co-workers. They treat out of State customers better than a local person who would give them after sale work. I will never do business with them again and who would blame me? I would highly recommend Herbee Dodge as they honored their Employee Pricing Deals. Here is a response of a customer of Herbee’s about my situation and his experience, “I picked up the car & got epp/$1k rebate/0% for 48, just like my contract stated...all good ….since chrysler came out with a "policy" to honor the deals, dealers really had no reason(or excuse) to not honor the whole deal(epp/$1k/0%).. sounds like your dealer was either "stupid" or "dishonest" or both!!....which sucks.” I believe they are just plain dishonest! And strongly recommend that you go to a different Dealer. More
I have a vehicle that was purchased for use by the disabled. The service department refused to make the needed warranty repairs on my air conditioning system. For someone who is in need of their vehic disabled. The service department refused to make the needed warranty repairs on my air conditioning system. For someone who is in need of their vehicle for special reasons, you would think that a dealer would bend over backwards to help someone like that. Aparently money is more important than customer service for this dealership. More
