I spoke to the general manager when I had the issue purchasing the vehicle and he was completely uninterested in resolving the issue. As far as the issue with the vehicle itself, it has been traded in and it’s beyond reconciliation. I was in for the issue six times and the last time I was told the issue was truly an issue on all of the models however there was no fix. It was suggested to contact Mercedes corporate to see if the issue could be escalated. After two calls to corporate, I was advised that the dealership had to escalate the issue to engineering but that never happened. The time to speak to the general manager has passed. My hope is that customer concerns are taken more seriously in the future and that the ping pong of responsibility stops. As for me, Mercedes Benz has lost my business permanently.
