Mixed Feelings on Mercedes-Benz of Wesley Chapel So I know this is going to be a lengthy review, but I think sticking with me through it will give you a general sense of my family's recent experience So I know this is going to be a lengthy review, but I think sticking with me through it will give you a general sense of my family's recent experience here. We were attracted to this location based on its convenient location to where we live and also it's a pretty new place so figured it would be nice to give some business to a newer establishment in the neighborhood. So to start, my dad recently decided he wanted to trade in his fairly new 2010 Lexus with 21k miles for a new Benz. I had done plenty of research at local dealers inventory and found the perfect color/option match in a 2015 E350 located here. I knew what the invoice price was, Edmunds price, and TrueCar prices all figured out to be. In addition, I'd done plenty of research on various sites to figure out the value of his trade. We were met by our sales person, Kristian Klotz, once we arrived and he showed us the exact vehicle we were looking for, which ironically was situated inside the showroom. The facility was brand new and impressive. Kristian was a key part of making this experience pleasant for us and all car sales people can learn something from the way he treats his customers. We took the test drive and decided this was something we'd be moving forward with. I laid out all the information I had and what we would be prepared to offer for the new car and what we would expect on the trade. That is where the tide shifted from a pleasant experience to a not so pleasant one. After a little bit of go between, the sales manager, Brian Harrigan, got involved. He came into our sales person's office area and proceeded to tell us we could take it or leave it and there was no room for negotiation on the ridiculously low amount offered to us for our trade. Mind you he was comparing the value of our same car with other comps that had more than double the mileage than ours did. He pretty much told us we could take it or leave and told me to do some more research on why his numbers were accurate and get back to them once I had. His condescending and rude attitude was something that none of us were expecting from someone who is supposed to be a professional member of management in a Mercedes Benz Dealership. We were appalled at Brian's behavior and tone and requested to speak to the GM of the dealership. The GM, Michael Kronk, must have overheard the commotion as I'm sure many customers around us did as well, and came over to find out what was going on. Michael took the time just as Kristian had to understand our concerns, go over our expectations, and went back to see what information the manager had wrongly conjured up to this point. When he came back he had a figure for the trade that was $2k more than the initial amounts that the previous manager, Brian, had told us was the final amount we would ever get from this dealership. Michael took the time to understand our concerns, listen to our reasoning, and do diligent research to make sure he was giving us accurate information, which is far less than Brian did or even attempted to do. Overall, had it not been for Kristian and Michael this would have been a 1 star review and we would not have even thought about giving this dealership any of our business. Working as a manager in a heavily customer service oriented industry myself, I'm not too sure how someone such as Brian has such a position at a Mercedes Benz Dealership. His tactics and rude personality are more fit to a 1980s used car dealership. I will say that the process after that with Finance and delivery of our new car went smoothly and ultimately my dad got the car he dreamed of owning. More
