I took my Mercedes 250C I n for air conditioning issue on a Thursday. The tech did several checks and verified I need a new compressor. The Service advisor told me the total cost was $2,206. Before he tol a Thursday. The tech did several checks and verified I need a new compressor. The Service advisor told me the total cost was $2,206. Before he told me the price, he checked the part list and noted that there was a part missing on the list and he added the part. Also, I provided a 15% off coupon that was an online coupon. I saw the service advisor put this on his computer screen. He said it would be the following day before the compressor arrived and installed. I gave him this OK to proceed with installing the new compressor. I got a call the following day from my service advisor that the car was ready for pick up. When I got there, the service advisor I was working with was on his lunch break. He had provided paperwork for the other service advisor to check me out. When I got there the price had increased by $300 to $2,506 and I asked why the price increase. He looked and could not explain why. He called the original service advisor and asked if $2,206 was correct and the he said yes. The service advisor then called his manager and he came over. I asked him about the 15% discount and neither one could find the note the original service advisor had inputted. They asked me to show them the 15% discount and I had deleted it from my phone. The manager said he would take care of it. The manager sent the new total to the service advisor with the discount applied and the total was $1,977.40. The new total with the 15% discount should have been$ $1,875.1. I questioned the service advisor and said should the total be $1,875.1. And the response was this is what the manage sent. I was shorted $100. If I had not have to make a doctor appointment, I would have requested to meet with this manager. More
