I'm new to the area, I called to make an appointment a week ago to get my car serviced for an airbag recall. When I get to service, they tell me it's going to be 2-3 days to do a software update for my ca week ago to get my car serviced for an airbag recall. When I get to service, they tell me it's going to be 2-3 days to do a software update for my car and because it's a recall I cannot get a loaner??? The service person showed me a stack of 20 files and said these are all before you. If I came back in 3 days there will just be another stack in front of me, I’ve never seen anything like it, I’ve owned Mercedes cars since 2005, never once did I hear someone complain like that and just not care. Do not understand why this wasn't told to me when I made the appointment but I had to leave and could not be without a car for 3 days. I called the service director David Matsumoto at 11, never got a call back, called again end of day, no one to take my calls. I own 2 Mercedes, this is my first experience with this dealership, NOT LIKELY TO USE THEM AGAIN! I might as well travel to Germantown where I have gone for the past 17 years. For a dealership that charges $160 hour for service, the least they can do is make simple appointment and my first experience a positive one! More
Fabulous and efficient service—dealer able to diagnose complex electronic problem and fixed my car in one day. Also provided me with a nice loaner. The technician/advisor kept on arguing regarding “emission inspection” that it is “emission”, not inspection”. Ironically, though, the report post servicing and inspections listed “emission inspecti “emission inspection” that it is “emission”, not inspection”. Ironically, though, the report post servicing and inspections listed “emission inspection”. Thus, this person is not even cognizant with the terminology in his own profession. The car hood was not completely closed and the car kept on alarming until I was able to find a place to stop the car, open the hood and closed it. Apparently, car was not thoroughly washed, because there were bird poop remnants on the hood and the rear passenger door. Accordingly, this technician/advisor is also, in my opinion reluctant to ensure the quality of service being provided. For these reasons, I would not like this person to service my cars. I have been taking my cars to MB of TYSONS corner for 6 years. I never had such experience at MB TYSONS corner, or toMB, Chantilly, OR to another service center where I have taken my cars for at least 28 years in Northern Virginia prior to going to MB Tysons corner.
