Below average. Upon arrival I was given the receipt and told that my car would be right out. I had to ask someone about where the car was after waiting almost a half hour for it to arrive. They replaced a told that my car would be right out. I had to ask someone about where the car was after waiting almost a half hour for it to arrive. They replaced a major control item and I wasn't told that I had to re-pair the phones and reinstitute SiriusXM. They should have done the XM when they installed the new radio ID and left the stations to me. I'm not sure that some of the items we put in the memory are still there. They kept the car for over a week because they couldn't figure out how to fix it. They just ordered new parts and hoped they would work after they installed them. Finally after the third or forth try, the Control Unit seemed to solve the problem. Hopefully I never have to return for service. The next nearest Mercedes dealer is in Long Beach which is a long ways to travel. They did call every day after 3 PM to let me know that the car was not ready. However, they couldn't tell me what was wrong with it, only that they ordered another part and it would be in tomorrow or the next day. More

So much for loyalty (since 1988), I should’ve listened to my family, friends and neighbors and left South Bay Mercedes as they did many years ago solely due to the service department. I believe you should give opportunity to correct errors while risking the reputation of being a complainer, weathering through their arrogance which they conveniently seem to put on me. For me, it’s business, nothing more. My love for Mercedes is always conflicted by the thought of visiting the service department. This last time was disappointing enough for them to lose me. More
Pablo, my service officer, was professional, friendly, knowledgeable and very caring. He immediately took charge of my car and kept me posted about the services being done.
