I purchsaed A CPO 2009 S550 on 9/13. I soon noticed a "shimmy" in the car/steering wheel at speeds above 65 mph. I initially thought that I would be treated like a "second class customer" because this was a used car that I purchased and instead I was made to feel like I was their number 1 priority. Definitely would recommend them. More
we bought a GL450 in Smithtown dealer in 2007, It has 44,000 miles now. My husband alway take the car to the service with Joe, he always did excellent job. I went to the Dealer for the service at 7:25am on10/16/2013. This is my first time go there for service, J. the service advisor told me that it will be about 2 hours. I told him that I decided to wait in the waiting area. I paid $941.99 at 10:47am on my receipt. In about 10:40am, J give me 2 pieces of paper suggested to be serviced soon .He told me that I need Synthetic Oil and Filter change w/Lub. also he told me my tire need to be changed. I said to him that we are planning to change all the wheels too. then he talked to other customer. I double read the paper and found out the first item on his list, it was the item that I paid for the service today. so I asked other person B when J was busy, he went to J's office to pick up the work paper (which is laying on J's desk), then walked to the back at the repair service, he came back to me and marked down on the paper "DONE" on the first item J listed. I started to have a "Doubt" about J's Service. ( I still have the paper to prove). then B took me to the cashier, and I paid. left the dealership, I am driving the car to meet my husband, I saw the "CHECK ENGINE" light on. My husband called J. J said to him "drive a couple days to see if the light goes off. I started to read the repair description. I was SHOCKED!!! Note: Right rear tire loosing air- 2 nails in tread area. Customer declined work at this time. I was waiting in the customer waiting area since 7:30am. J didn't come to tell me when they found the 2 nails, and J knew that I was waiting right there. Would you drive the car with 2 nails in the tire??? is it common sense???? He is putting my life in the risk. I was Shocked!!! I immediately called my husband and explained that I have been driving the car with 2 nails in the tire. my husband called him, he said to my husband that he told me. my husband knew that I am a super careful person when come to safety, how can I drive with 2 nails in the tire. My husband called the Service Manager Mike. he said that he will take care of it. Second day. Joe called us to drop the car in the morning. We dropped the car about 10am. He called my husband about 3 times to keep us updated. The car stayed in the shop. I believe it must be something wrong. Third day is today, I am waiting for the answer... More
We see the Mercedes that we like online, and we receive a call from Alan Stricoff who asked us to stop by the dealer on Saturday. Maybe Alan should have giving some thought to the customers he had arriving that day? OK so I told them that we wouldn't be able to return if we could deal with any other salesman? Now I’m told no other salesman are available. Really a Saturday and no sales people available OK we leave. Now Monday while I’m at work Smithtown Mercedes calls me at my office in the middle of the day to find out how my trip to this useless dealership went? I begin tell her how unreliable Alan Stricoff is, she ask me to hold and connects me to this useless rude very unprofessional useless person. Alan tells me that he is entitled to make a living and hangs the phone up in my ear. As a past Benz owner do yourself a favor and don't waste time with this clown and spend your money elsewhere. We will NEVER return to this dealership. More
About a year and half ago I was looking for a E-350 with my wife. I met Alan Stricoff at Mercedes Smithtown. I was referred to Alan from a colleague. I do not live near the dealership where Alan works, but decided to take the drive out to meet him. Alan was absolutely excellent. I didn't feel like he was "selling up" the car or insincere. He sat with me for a protracted period of time to make sure all my questions were answered. One would think Certified Pre-owned means something but not this case. Purchased 2011 C300, 12 months later and 15K miles rear tires are completely worn from the center of tire inward. Car was not abused and did not hit any potholes, dealership verified this when brought in, but to no avail they would not honor CPO. There is no doubt that alignment was out at time of purchase. More

From the moment I met Alan he put me at ease and guided me through the paperwork, explaining everything and then spent quite a bit of time explaining all the features of the car while I sat in the drivers seat.
