I’ve had a negative experience from the start and it just continues. My first time ever stepping foot at the dealership I was looking to purchase and the salesman made me feel like I was an inconvenience to continues. Didn’t ask my name, brought up a vehicle for me to look at but didn’t ask my timeline, pricing, trade in, etc… just stood there, so I left. A week later I decided to go back and try again since they are the only local dealership that sells sprinters. Same experience if not worse. I “worked” with a different salesman who didn’t even ask my name and after I told him what I was looking for he then pointed me to their inventory lot and said to take a look and see if I see anything, while he went back inside. So my BF and I went in the back on our own to look at vans. I didn’t know that it would be so difficult to purchase a van or find a salesman that wanted to sell a vehicle. Because I wasn’t dressed like their usual clientele I believe that is why no one wanted to help me at all. 2 separate visits and the same experience…??? I will say I was eventually able to get assistance from Valentine and he helped me get the van that I was looking for. Him and Peter (finance) worked with me until I took ownership of the sprinter. 80 miles later on my brand new sprinter and the check engine light came on, the gas gauge stopped working and the vehicle had issues with accelerating. My service adviser was great (Debbie) but the tech was saying because I kept the car idling while I ran into a store, I’m the one that caused the issues… very unlikely but I disregarded the comment and Debbie had the vehicle returned to me ahead of schedule. Fast forward, my temporary tags expired so I sent an email to finance (who helped me previously with tag stuff) AND left a message with the manager since I didn’t actually have a sales rep with zero response. It takes me driving to the dealership just for a simple question to be answered. It’s really unfortunate that the receptionists have been the nicest to me throughout this whole process and that didn’t change during any of my visits. Those ladies need more recognition More

MB of Smithtown always makes sure my cars are properly serviced. Had a surprise maintenance issue that rendered the car unusable, an air ride component failure, and had to leave the car there, using late serviced. Had a surprise maintenance issue that rendered the car unusable, an air ride component failure, and had to leave the car there, using late drop off for the first time. That was a Sunday evening. Fortunately, my car was repaired and ready for pickup Monday morning, as though it never had an issue! Thank you MB of Smitown, it takes everyone to make the whole experience as good as it is, and it’s appreciated. More
