This is the sixth Mercedes that I have purchased sin 1983 and the second that I purchased from MB Sarasota. I have purchased and had my vehicles serviced at this dealership since 2000. It is always a pleasant experience to interface with experienced personnel. On my 2005 E 320 CDI I experienced an unusual problem that was difficult to diagnose. They searched there world wide list of similar vehicle problems and had the car fixed and returned that same day. My latest purchase is a 2011 E350 Bluetec advanced clean burn diesel with new and advanced technology. I am confident that this dealer is up to the task of servicing this new technology More

Besides, the delivery experience is excellent: sound explanation of the financial aspects of the transaction by a financial expert with the assistance of highly sophisticated information technology tools like a "computerized desk" and a detailed explanation of the car features by the sales associate. Over the past five years I've acquired or leased three Mercedes Benz vehicles at Mercedes Benz of Sarasota and have been highly satisfied as a customer. My last operation was managed by Scott Foster who, to this day, continues to provide me with valuable and practical support. The service department is superbly run as well. I'm looking forward to the move of this dealership to their new facilities. More
They replaced my transmission for $6,000, it only lasted 11 months. I took it in for another replacemant since it was still under warranty, and they want $1,300 because according to them it does not include 11 months. The last time I was there my service rep was not returning my calles, and they were more focus on selling me a new car than, taking care of the problem at hand. I have one year left, before this car is paid for, and my wife has a GMC Envoy, already paid for; we were both considering trading both cars in for two new Mercedes, but after my experince at this dealer, you can rest asure we'll be switching to a different make. Even Toyota can do better than this. Thank you, and please do your research before you do business with Mercedes Benz of Sarasota. More
I purchased a new set of tires and went to Mercedes of Sarasota for a 4-wheel alignment. Taking the car on a long journey we noticed a strange sound. Looking at the rear tires, they were down to the metal "belts". I had this fixed sent photos to MB of Sarasota of my problem with no return calls or satisfaction offered! Apparently the "service" department worker set the alignment completely wrong. They screwed up and I paid for their mistake! More
Yes, I agree with everyone else: This is the worst dealership in Tampa or even Florida. I would never buy a car again from this place. Talking with others in my area, they had the same problems. However, be forewarned: As soon as you drive off the lot they will treat you like crap and not honor your warranty and give every possible reason why they don't need to help you. Anywhere else is truly better for your Mercedes Benz. More
I am with the majority, this has been the worst dealership i have ever dealt with, I was interested in a 2009 c63 amg, I drove in in a 09 from lokey, the salesman was a complete unprofessional xxxx dealership i have ever dealt with, I was interested in a 2009 c63 amg, I drove in in a 09 from lokey, the salesman was a complete unprofessional xxxxxx. after a ten minute conversation, I walked out. leaving the dealership I stepped on the throttle and reached 70mph before making a u-turn to head north upon reaching lokey mercedes the next day I was informed that I had left mercedes of sarasota at a speed of 122 mph. I didn't know they had a radar gun on site. the next day I returned to tampa to hear of the phone call from sarasota. They had made a call stating that I had been diving an 08', looking at the vin the six digit was a 9. I guess he was just angry that his commission check was going to be a little light. To wrap this up I purchased the car in tampa, and would have the car trailered to tampa before I would ever take my car to mercedes of sarasota.Good luck on a vacant property on clark road ever becoming a reality.Worst dealership ever. Very upsetting experience. Spreading bad news about others is not something I ever want to do or believe in. Please forgive me. Their entire management team is in dire need of a lot of coaching about the art of good relationship building, and preserving their business reputation. Alas I am sorry to report their service is very poor, and they are extremely argumentative for no foreseeable reason. They seem only interested in fighting, and protecting one another and not problem solving. Try another dealership that is directly related to Mercedes. Not AutoNation like this one. It is with great sadness for the Mercedes Brand that I must report this dealership is quite out of touch with the meaning of customer care especially in these hard economic times. I worry for their employees as I don't see much future with their business. More
Buying a Mercedes, cash in hand, should be fun. First we wrote Sarasota Mercedes/Auto Nation by email. The replies were weak and uninformed. Frustrated, we went in. Nearly every question he responded by saying "I don't know, but I'll find out." We wrote email after email following up. He took days to respond, and sometimes we'd catch him in a lie about what he would deliver. We asked for a test drive, he offered the ugliest car on the lot. He then complained that we made him come in on his day off. While looking at the motor, which he didn't understand, "MH" accused me of already buying the car somewhere else, and said he had an email from me saying so. We hadn't, I never wrote that email. I began to wonder if "MH" was a bit nuts. We decided exactly what we wanted. A brand new car for which we could pay cash in full. He demanded that we pay a large deposit without guaranteeing he could get the car. He promised he could beat any price. We sought a few other bids and told him what they were. He countered with a much higher price. During this time my wife's sister wrote him a single email asking about the same car. He wrote her pages & pages of info, phoned her begging & pleading to do business with him, even looking up other phone numbers to find her. Meanwhile we couldn't get a straight answer to a single question. We complained to his manager, "K". She promised she would make things right. We wondered, 'Would they lower the price? Toss in some accessories?' That day another sales person phoned us. He offered us a deal on a used car that was a different model. This place is irresponsible, does not take care of their customers, and is a bad place to buy a car. Buying a brand new Mercedes should be a great experience and not a headache. If you want a pleasant experience buying a Mercedes, save some money, and go some place else. More
