There was no pressure, just information, helpfulness and great service. Roger Kumapayi spent all afternoon with us giving up many other sales to provide us excellent personalized service. He walked us through every step of the buying process and made our experience very memorable. We drove all the way from Cocoa Beach to Sarasota because Roger was so helpful on the phone. When it's time to buy another car we will make the long drive again. because Mercedes of Sarasota is an excellent place to purchase a automobile. More
Great Dealership - Sales & Service The experience of continuous friendly, responsive professionalism is better than any dealer I have ever worked with. The overall culture is great. I The experience of continuous friendly, responsive professionalism is better than any dealer I have ever worked with. The overall culture is great. I have bought 8 cars from this dealership and the last 6 were after Ernie Withers took over .. what a difference ... what an experience. I used to take my cars elsewhere for service to save a couple dollars, but now I use the dealer because I know it will be done right, with a smile and guaranteed. Great dealership. More
poor service Had front bumper painted almost one year later chipping, blistering and flaking. Local auto body shop said cheap clear and paint. Bought new 200.00 fl Had front bumper painted almost one year later chipping, blistering and flaking. Local auto body shop said cheap clear and paint. Bought new 200.00 floor mats driver side ripped entire length heel pad and backing passenger side desintegrated. Door panel became loose several month's later. Once home noticed black spots looking like oil and a white residue on the back that I was unable to remove without specialty product. Interestingly they parked it out of their lights in the shadows.Did not detail car as requested and never bothered with a follow-up call, they probably knew what a terrible job they did. Finally I was told engine work I had done at another mercedes dealership would have been approximately 2.5 times more expensive with them. More

I was feeli I have been searching for a used MB for quite sometime now, and I stumbled upon Mercedes-Benz of Sarasota dealership in Sarasota, Florida. I was feeling tense and nervous because all my past experiences with other dealerships had been uncomfortable. I was greeted by Mr. Alex Ley, sales associate at Mercedes-Benz of Sarasota, and was astonished at how nice and accommodating he was. His professionalism is what made me relax and comfortable. He had pretty much sold me a car just by speaking to me. He spent a lot of time with me showing me a number of cars. There was absolutely no pressure from anyone at the dealership to purchase a car. He was more interested in making sure I found the exact car I wanted than just selling me a car. Once I decided on a car the negotiations were relaxed because, again there was no pressure. I received a fair price for my trade-in and a nice price for my new car. I have purchased many cars and this was the best experience I ever had because of Alex and his associates at Mercedes-Benz of Sarasota. He was awesome and made car buying an absolute fun process. Mercedes-Benz of Sarasota exceeded my expectations. From Sales to Finance to Delivery - my experience was fantastic. Top notch all the way - I look forward to same experience with their service department. Thank you for keeping the customer in mind. More
I have been looking for a high quality SUV for business purposes. I have been looking around, but have always wanted to own a Mercedes. I was driving back from Miami and decided to stop in Sarasota to st purposes. I have been looking around, but have always wanted to own a Mercedes. I was driving back from Miami and decided to stop in Sarasota to stretch my legs and get something to drink. I happened to drive by the Sarasota Mercedes dealership and decided to stop in. The saleslady, Laura, came right out to meet me and we discussed what I was looking for. After looking at a few different models, she took me to see a GL450 and also told me about a GL350 "that might or might not have been sold". We test drove the GL450, but the color was not what I wanted. The 350 was sitting right next to the one we drove, and she kept saying how nice it was and she was pretty sure the deal would fall through. The 350 was perfect for me and I told her so. We talked with the manager, Brendan, who said that they would keep me posted on the 350. I said that if that deal did not work for me, then I would be okay with ordering one just like it, as it really was the perfect vehicle. Well, on Friday at 5pm, Laura called me and said that the 350 was mine, and could I come get it that night. I said no, but I could be there Saturday morning. I was told I had to bring a personal check, not a cashier's check. I met my broker Saturday morning and got a check from my brokerage account and deposited it to my checking account, then went to get my new car! We arrived at the dealership and the tone was entirely different. They sat us down and questioned us for 20 mins on where the funds were coming from. Laura and another man by the name of VLas got very serious faces and started telling us about exporting these cars and said that Homeland Security and the FBI monitored car sales. That if one of these cars was used by a terrorist to blow up something, both the dealership and the saleslady would be investigated and the person buying the vehicle would be arrested. They made it sound like something from the movies. It was that melodramatic. After finally passing the interrogation, we waited over 3 hours for the finance department. When we finally got in there, it went very fast, which was the only plus to the entire visit. But when the finance man tried to get approval on my personal check, the check processing declined it. I explained that the whole deal just happened late the following day, and I had just deposited the funds into my checking account that morning, so of course, the funds were pending, as it was a Saturday and the banks would be closed on Monday for MLK day. I even had the deposit slip to show them that the funds were deposited that morning. But that was not good enough. Then the finance man said "Why didn't you just bring a cashier's check?". I mean, really????? I was told by 2 different people that I needed a personal check, absolutely not a cashier's check. It was then decided that I could come back on Tuesday after the banks were open and to bring a cashier's check. Well, here it is Tuesday, and I don't have the car. I went to the bank this morning and got the cashier's check. Laura actually texted me numerous times while I was there telling me to bring 6 months worth of bank statements and brokerage statements to show them. I told my broker and banker what they were asking and was told in no uncertain terms that I should NOT give them anything. They said a car dealership has no business asking for personal financial information unless I was financing through the dealership. My broker said it was a complete invasion of my privacy and probably illegal for them to demand such things. He said he would prepare a financial statement for them, one that did not show what I was spending my money on, but would show my net worth. He said he would have it for them tomorrow morning. I went to the dealership, with the cashier's check, and did not even have time to sit down before Laura was asking where my financial records were. When I explained what my broker said, and that he would have a financial statement ready for them in the morning, I was told that I could not have the vehicle until they received all of the financial records they were asking for. Again I was subjected to the melodramatic, over the top story about terrorism and Homeland Security. I was told the only way I could buy the car without giving them my financial records was to finance it through them. But of course, then I would still have to show proof of income. I don't know about anyone else, but I have never heard of someone being treated like a criminal or a terrorist just because they wanted to buy a car. I would not recommend anyone to buy a car here unless you want to be subjected to an interrogation about where your money comes from, and be prepared to prove that you can afford one of their precious vehicles. We went to look at the new 2014 S Class. To my surprise there was a S63 AMG in the showroom. We mistakenly thought it was a new one as it was in such an immaculate condition. At the same time, John F. intr there was a S63 AMG in the showroom. We mistakenly thought it was a new one as it was in such an immaculate condition. At the same time, John F. introduced himself. His cordial and relaxed manner gave us the impetus to test drive the S63. John is a real "mensch" and I am sure if he hadn't been so helpful, yet laid-back, we wouldn't have traded in our Audi A7 and drove home with the S63. No regrets at all. John is the consummate professional. More

This dealer posted a used 2011 BMW 328i for sale on its webpage and listed the price as $24999. I spoke to Don Murphy on the phone and he confirmed the price. He went onto state that the vehicle was in tra webpage and listed the price as $24999. I spoke to Don Murphy on the phone and he confirmed the price. He went onto state that the vehicle was in transit from their sister store because it had not sold for two months. He said that he would call me when the vehicle got to their dealership so we could look at the car. In the meantime, I got preapproved through my bank at 4.89% for 72 months in preparation to purchase the vehicle. The vehicle came in and I sent my wife down to look at the car since I could not be there due to work. My wife said that Don did not even introduce himself to her and he used a golf cart to drive over to where the car was at the lot, leaving my wife and kids to walk! Apparently, they wanted to sell the car for 28k but since I saw the price of 25k before they could change it they had to honor it the original price. Well here comes the trade in scam next. They looked at our car and could not stop commenting how nice our car looked. They then offered us three thousand less than what Kelly Blue book lists our vehicle for, quoting that since it had a minor accident on its car fax that wiped out all that equity. I have the car fax for the car and it shows only a loss of $346.00 from the value of the car. To top it all off they tried to offer us 11% rate for 48 months without even asking about our credit. I am sorry but my wife and I have prefect credit. My wife informed them that we were preapproved for a loan at a much lower rate and he only scuffed at it. They then tried to offer us another thousand dollars for our trade but my wife had the common sense to leave as this was totally unethical. It is actions like this that give car salesman the reputation that the public holds of them. More
