Sometimes the cost is, but the service received from my service advisor place's my mind at ease knowing Efrain always shows my best interest. I love my car, it is my first luxury vechicle. Honestly, I do not look forward to the fees however, I do look forward to the family treatment every scheduled time. Attempt to "Upcharge" I bought a 2002 C240 in June, 2012. It had 64,500 on it. I immediayely took it to Van Housen (VH) MB/Sacramento to have the car checked out and repair I bought a 2002 C240 in June, 2012. It had 64,500 on it. I immediayely took it to Van Housen (VH) MB/Sacramento to have the car checked out and repaired as necessary. Since that time I have only taken my Benz to VH for repairs. I have asked on several occasions about the squealing brakes I have experienced. On those occasions, I have been told nothing could be done about them and that the brakes were fine. In response to the last survey I completed, Lisa Brown called about my continuing brakes' concern. Their "lead mechanic", Ken Harland, also called and we set another appointment for the brakes to be inspected. Ken said he would drive the car and, if necessary, complete the work himself. To my amazement, he aslo stated the work could not be guaranteed because the squealing brakes could be because of my driving habits! I told him I have been driving for 52 years and NOBODY has EVER told me THAT!! He also said he would replace the brakes, if necessary, without a labor cost. I arrived at VH Wednesday (01/27/2016) morning at about 7:25 for my 7:30 appointment. I didn't meet Ken Harland until about 8:15; I was told he was in a meeting, even though my OUR appointment time was 7:30 a.m.! We talked about "what" he said he would do and I agreed. Ken Harland came back from his driving inspection and said there was a squeal in the front brakes and that they were after market brakes. At no time since 2012, had any VH representative told me that. In Efrain Vasquez', my VH Service Advisor, office Ken Harland advised me that the repair would cost $328.49. I approved the repair. They advised me the repair would take be about 1 hour and I advised them I would wait. At NO time to that point, did Ken Harland advise me that he hadn't had the chance to check and hear the rear brakes squeal. Roughly an hour and a half later, I checked with Vasquez and he advised me that Ken had advised him that the rear brakes were squealing as well! I was frustrated and dismayed!! WHY wasn't I forewarned that THAT was a possibility? Ken told me he couldn't hear the rear because the front was too loud!! They told me it would cost another $328.00 to repair the rear! I was totally frustrated by these developments and paid the bill for the front brakes and asked that my car be readied to go. Since driving the car from the dealership, I have heard NO squeal, front or rear, my driving habits notwithstanding!! More

In December of 2010, I took my 2008 Mercedes ML350 into Mercedes Benz of Sacramento (Von Housen Automotive Group) for an oil change and service. While they were retrieving my car their driver caused an ac Mercedes Benz of Sacramento (Von Housen Automotive Group) for an oil change and service. While they were retrieving my car their driver caused an accident in my vehicle resulting in $6260. damages. They sent our vehicle to their contracted auto body repair shop. This process was estimated to take 3 days. Throughout the next three weeks, four different times, we were asked to personally visit the repair shop and review the repairs while the car was still unassembled. Each time the repairs were not acceptable and each time the car looked worse than the previous review. By January 20, the car was so horrible, it was unacceptable. There were three coats of paint on the entire right side of the car not matching the hood or the rest of the vehicle. There were vertical sanding marks creating a washboard effect on the front door caused by their body shop trying to reduce the amount of paint build up now exceeding factory specifications. The collision shop said they did not have a solution as to how to fix it. We purchased a new vehicle from MB of Sacramento as no other dealership would accept our trade in its current condition. We were forced to accept a low trade-in value on our once beautiful, flawless 2008 Mercedes, now destroyed by them. We hired a professional appraisal group and they estimated we lost $8,019 value because of the damages and poor repairs. We learned later that Mercedes Benz of Sacramento turned around and sold our repaired vehicle as a Certified Pre-Owned Mercedes assuring the new owners the car had never been damaged. The new owners are furious and are now taking action against MB of Rocklin, Von Housen's, their sister dealership. We are asking for a reimbursement for the loss of value on our vehicle. Mercedes Benz of Sacramento is very unresponsive. Even after the involvement of the CA Better Business Bureau and CA Bureau of Automotive Repairs, Mercedes Benz of Sacramento does not return calls when promised and they’re not resolving this issue in a timely matter. We are being forced to take our request to small claims court to hopefully recover our losses. We would not recommend going to Mercedes Benz of Sacramento for the next year (2011-12) as their very own Customer Service Representative told us many cars will be subject to damages during their construction project of expanding their dealership.
