The GM, Steve, returned my call this morning (Aug 14), listened to my story and would definitely incorporate my experience and video in their training program. Good outcome. That's all I wanted as this is what customer feedback is designed to accomplish. Steve suggested that the loose part might not have been loose enough to be detected in Jan 23 when I brought the vehicle in to check out the problem. Can't reject the hypothesis, but given the way the problem emerged I believe it was loose enough to have been caught in January because it was literally hanging by a few threads at Bellingham and we didn't drive any different than in the past three years. But that's why I didn't want anything from Reno because it's hard to say when it became detectable- only to provide feedback.
