I live an hour away and had a 10 week old puppy at home I needed to get home to... get there they said No .. they don't do loaner cars.. they need only 3 hours but have a shuttle.. shuttle drops me at the mall says he off at 11am .. no shuttle to pick me up..had to walk back in 101 degrees..told them there was a flash of an abs sensors.. said they checked it and it was perfectly fine.. But I am spewing oil..xxx? No I wasnt!.. said they needed $1000.00 to fix it .. but did an oil change anyway and sent me home .. an hour away... only got 2 miles down the road . And I lose the gas pedal... I call and they say limp it back .. we can't help you we don't have a tow truck ..nothing was wrong with my car when I took it in!! I limp it back and it dies in the intersection of the Hwy .. where the freeway and highway come together... I was in tears.. my husband left work for the puppy.. I was there till 5:45 pm .. been there since 8:30 am... it was the Abs sensor that they said was perfectly fine... then wanted to schedule an appt for the $1000.00 oil repair .. F that!! I will never goback !! I will drive to Sacramento..3 hours .. to have work done before ever going back there! Just horrible!!! More
Love the customer service here. Great communication from the staff. Very helpful explanation of repairs and service. Clean offices and repair areas. I recently moved to the area and had an A service performed last year. It took 28 days with a complete run-around from my service rep. 2 weeks into it, they gave me a loaner car that was dirty (not j performed last year. It took 28 days with a complete run-around from my service rep. 2 weeks into it, they gave me a loaner car that was dirty (not just unclean, but with loose empty bottles and coffee cups on the floor). Upon pickup, they were not ready and even told me they didn’t have time to get my car washed. The service rep I dealt with on pickup (not my original rep) was very apologetic and did what she could to smooth over the situation. I decided that I would not have my car serviced there again. I went to Rocklin, CA (over 100 miles away) for my next appointment. When I was due for my recent B service, I was heading out of town for 2 weeks and decided to give Reno another chance. I made my appointment for drop off that day. When I showed up, they seemed overwhelmed while the service desk rep told me to wait for the service rep as he spent the next 20 minutes clearly in a personal call. When I was finally helped, the service rep told me I had an appointment with a rep that was no longer there and was short and huffy about it. I told him I obtained the appointment that morning. Then when he gave me a quote of over $1000, I told him that was not what was quoted to me when I made the appointment. He replied that no one else is authorized to give me a quote. After selecting the services I needed, on pickup, he was nowhere to be found and no one knew anything about my car and it took way too long to check out. I am very disappointed in the service provided. Mercedes should be ashamed of how they are represented and the service provided. I will NEVER return to this location. More
To be clear, we had very good service on our Sprinter from the Reno dealership this time around in March 2024. However, in past we have had the worst service and issues, so maybe this dealership has turn from the Reno dealership this time around in March 2024. However, in past we have had the worst service and issues, so maybe this dealership has turned around it's service department. I like to think that they have turned it around, but this remains to be seen. Although we are locaed in Reno, the past 4 years the service department has been so terrible we have gone out of state for all service until this past month, we decided to give them another chance. We told them up front they had a lot to prove. This time they did deliver. You can tell by other reviews that this dealership is famous over past years for courtesy when selling and abominable for follow up service from the service department. I do hope that our experience becomes a trend for this dealership to rebuild their reputation. 3 stars is an average given a 5 star experinece in March 2024 and several 1 star experiences up till now. Beware of the service department. I’m not sure where some of these higher ratings come from! We dropped our car off for service and were told we would be kept updated on how things were going. Not only did we hear nothing all day, but the service writer, Sean, went home early and no one in the service department answered the phone. After eight minutes on hold, an answering service picked up, Finally someone in sales was able to retrieve our vehicle for us. It hadn’t been touched. Is this what one should expect from a Mercedes dealership? More
