When scheduling our 20K mile service on our Sprinter (for 9am the next week) we were quoted $485 (plus or minus a bit for different oil capacities) by the lady on the phone. When we arrive at 9am - we are told that the vehicle wouldn't be ready until 3. That is unacceptable. I mean, why make an appointment in that case? We also told Bryan that the brakes are squealing - he replies that there's nothing they can do for that. Really? Anti-vibration compound? Nothing? grrr...When we arrive at 3 Bryan tells us that it's almost done...6hrs and it's not done. 30min later it is finally pulled around - with squealing brakes. Next comes the bill - $842.94. Unbelievable. Crappy service, smug employees, incompetence. Next time I'll take it to Jiffy lube - probably get better service. More
Coming to Midlothian Mercedes-Benz dealership is always a great experience. Before purchasing my new 430S from Mercedes-Benz of Midlothian in 2005, I had reservations about becoming an MB owner. I had heard horror stories regarding maintenance,inconvenience and expense. I gladly report that these "stories" have no validity in fact. During the 7 years since I bought my car, I have needed little service on it; it operates dependably and beautifully. I gladly report that all needed service has been accomplished during normal scheduled maintenance reviews and with no incovenience to me; I was provided (at no expense to me) a vehicle to use while service was accomplished. From touch-up painting to full detailing to parts replacement (one small part so far), MB of Midlothian performed effectively, efficiently and with exceptional courtesy. I am treated as a long-valued member of their family. I have never experienced the level of customer care that I believe to be the norm at MB of Midlothian. As for expense, my Mercedes is a gem: I've had need for only normal scheduled service over 7 years, spending far less time and money in automobile maintenance than I anticipated. I am an enthusiastic MB owner! It has been a pleasure to work with Brian Parker at MB of Midlothian. He takes better care of my car than I do. He explains what service is needed, anticipates items that I may overlook (ie. needed state inspection) and coordinates service that remarkably fits my schedule. I just don't think car maintenance can get any better than what I receive at MB of Midlothian. More

Brought my 2003 SL500 in for service with multiple malfunction codes showing. Ryan was very helpful with getting the car back into safe operating condition and made several recommendations regarding malfunction codes showing. Jessica helped me immensely with acquiring new tail lights. She even brought the lights in just for me to look at before purchasing with no obligation to buy. Mercedes of Midlothian is nearly 40 miles away but I consider the drive to be worth it for the great service they provide. More

Unfortunately, both of Richmond's MB dealers are owned by the same family. Therefore, they have absolutely no incentive to provide good service or to negotiate on price if you're buying a car. The new GM fired the excellent service manager they used to have, and service quality has plummeted. Previously, if you took a problem to them, they would fix it. Now they will fight tooth-and-nail, hoping to run out the factory warranty so they can stick you with the bill later on. And the prices for routine service have to be seen to be believed. MB no longer offers much value, if it ever did. The whole experience remains appealing only to those poor souls desperate for prestige. Get it while it lasts! More
