Mercedes Recall I was disappointed in the over interaction with MB on the recall of air bags for my wife's MB. i recieved notice about 3 months ago, so I go to MB se I was disappointed in the over interaction with MB on the recall of air bags for my wife's MB. i recieved notice about 3 months ago, so I go to MB service...............talk to service person inside ............. he told me this was just a notice of recall service ................." your vechicle has not been recalled and you will recieve a recall notice . So 2 months later get the recall notice. I call them versus wasting a vist. talk to woman................ she was polite............ she epplained options for service and said they would provide loaner car............. then she said need vin number so she could check on part ..........then she said she ordered part ................. then call back when part arrived and I then tried to schedule appointment . after date schedule she said loaner car not available until 3 weeks. so then i asked her How long will this take I DO NOT KNOW ! how can someone ask you to repair your car and not give an idea on how long it will take. so I go leave my call for service and it was done same day. i should say the last car a bought a few years ago involve me getting rid of my E320 wagon and i bought a lexus................... i had a recall with them in spring on the air bag the same as MB. Their process exceeded your process as far as the experience went. i have bought 13 meredes and love them ............. but ................. your competition is getting much better. the woman who gave me was keys and checked me out at the desk where you pay bills did an outstanding job of taking care of me More
