I am not one to write reviews, especially a bad review but this reviews is necessary. I was given false assurances and basically lied to by the service manager Robin. I found out during the snow storm but this reviews is necessary. I was given false assurances and basically lied to by the service manager Robin. I found out during the snow storm in December of 2021 ( after I almost lost my life) that my new GLE 53 Coupe had summer tires. I had no idea because it was not disclosed to me during the sale process. I was extremely upset when I spoke with the service manager. I let him know that it’s not right that it was not brought to my attention when I purchased the vehicle and I should not be financially responsible to have them replaced. He agreed with me and stated,”I will take it up with the higher ups and get it taken care of.” My car was in the shop at the time ( I have had engine/transmission issues started 3 weeks after purchase). The manager also stated during our conversation “I will not give you your car back until I figure it out because it’s not safe for you to drive it!” Two days or so later the manager called my phone and in a very flat, serious and uninterested tone he stated,. “ your car is ready to be picked up.” I asked what’s going on with the tires? He replied, “I was able to get the tires for $2,600.00 but you will have to pay for them.” I was shocked at what I had just heard because the manager was very eager and optimistic during our previous conversations about getting this situation taken care of. I replied , “I can’t come out of my pocket with that money. I trusted what you told me about getting it taken care of!” He replied, “that’s all I can do. I don’t have any other answer for you!” the manager then told me to please bring his loaner car back and pick up my car. Upsettingly, I said “I’m not dropping the car off until you guys figure it out!” He replied, “you are welcome to hold the car until after the snow storm ( snow storm in February of 2022) but after the storm, I’m asking you politely to bring my loaner back.” Wow!! I was in disbelieve. He told me he would get it taken care of a few days ago and now everything we have discussed when out the window. Unbelievable! I then phoned MBM and asked to speak with Jason the service director twice and was told by the receptionist “he is not picking up his call and I am unable to put you through to his answering service.” I asked the receptionist to please have Jason call me back at his earliest convenience. I also asked to speak with the general manager and was told the same thing. Again, I left a message for the GM to give me a call back as well. Two days after the snow storm I dropped off the loaner and picked up my car! To-date, more than three weeks later, I still have not gotten a call back from either the director or the GM. I have been a customer at Mercedes Benz of Massapequa for several years despite the many issues I have faced with problematic vehicles. This is it for me though! I will NEVER spend another dime with MBM or will I again give any good words to those who are interested in purchasing a vehicle from that brand. I have several friends/family members who own vehicles from this brand and I have shared my bad experiences with them. A few days ago I spoke with the service manager Regarding related issues with my car and again, I expressed my disappointments in the way the situation with my tires is being handled and that his boss Jason has still not make any effort to contact me. The manager replied” I will relay the message to him.” I’m still waiting for that call. This is Shameful!! I shouldn’t be surprise anyhow because when I met with Jason back in January 2022 to discuss the issues I had been facing with my car, he didn’t seem inclined to help me at all. He was totally uninterested in what I had to say. However, when I was told by the service manager Robin that he would take it up with the higher ups (his boss Jason), I expected it to be taken car of because of his eagerness to get the issue resolved and most importantly because he agreed with me, gave me his word, and expressed his concerns for the safety issues of me driving the car. It is absolutely disgusting that the director Jason or GM haven’t reached out to me about this issue! This is definitely NOT the way customers should be treated! More
