Mercedes-Benz of Macon, horrible experience. Unethical sales tactics. Made several attempts to file a formal complaint to allow them an opportunity to correct the situation and they simply passed me on to the next "shady" salesperson. DO NOT waste your time. Shop around. Everyone's is not treated equally at Mercedes-Benz of Macon and when there is an issue, they hide behind chat bots. More
I needed my Mercedes E350 parking brake repaired along with just an overall inspection on my vehicle, so called and made an appointment for the next day. Chad along with rest of the service department too with just an overall inspection on my vehicle, so called and made an appointment for the next day. Chad along with rest of the service department took very good care of my car repairing the parking brake and an oil leak on a cam gear cover; I was very satisfied and would recommend their service department!! We literally have only driven our 2015 S550 Mercedes a total of 24,275 miles since we purchased it in 2018. However since that time, the Macon – Georgia Mercedes service department told us that 6 tires we total of 24,275 miles since we purchased it in 2018. However since that time, the Macon – Georgia Mercedes service department told us that 6 tires were worn and needed to be replaced. (Allow me to mention again that we have only driven 24,275 total miles since our purchase in 2018). They also recommended and performed 30K, 40K, 70K & 80K annual service repairs (aka A/B service packages which are really just fancy oil changes) even though there are only 53,000 total miles on the car. The total cost of these new tires, service packages, a regular battery and an auxiliary battery has been $6897. How did this occur? Admittedly I know nothing about cars. So when the service rep would contact me while I waited for the oil changes at the dealership and say that I needed new tires and A/B service packages instead of just an oil change, I TRUSTED that they were giving me professional advice. I wised up after my 6th tire purchase and put my repair cost info in a spreadsheet. WHAT A SURPRISE to discover how much I paid for service on a perfectly fine running car since 2019. After a conversation with the general manager and service rep sharing the information stated in this review, 3 hours later as I paid my service bill the service rep amazingly told me that I needed a 7th new tire. My wife and I have owned various Mercedes autos and SUV’s since circa 1995 and understand clearly that driving and servicing a Mercedes can be expensive. However, buying 6 new tires in 3 years is “off the charts”. I supposed I got too caught up in the status symbol of driving a S550 and trusting the service rep to give me good advice on the condition of my car. We work hard for our money and it feels good to drive around in luxury cars. But sadly it feels truly terrible to be taken advantage of by the service department of a trusted brand like Mercedes. It is for this reason that I feel compelled to write this negative review so that others are forewarned. More
Contacted the dealer when I became interested in a car shown on their website and made an appointment to view and test drive the car a few days later. The dealer was recommended by several friends as the shown on their website and made an appointment to view and test drive the car a few days later. The dealer was recommended by several friends as they had purchased vehicles as well as had their vehicles serviced by the dealer. Upon arriving at the dealership I was impressed by the cleanliness of the showroom and the courtesy of the team members. The purchase/ appraisal process was straight forward and easy process More
I was interested in purchasing a used car from this dealer. Went to their website to get info and get an approximate trade-in value. Their website took my information and gave me a reasonable number. dealer. Went to their website to get info and get an approximate trade-in value. Their website took my information and gave me a reasonable number. I also sent pictures, etc. for my car. The website said they wanted to buy my car for X dollars whether or not I purchased from them. I was ready to purchase the used car. Before the dealer would give me the numbers for the transaction, they insisted that I fill out their credit app, I did. When they sent me the numbers for the purchase they charged an additional $2,000 for the JACKSON ADVANTAGE -- whatever the xxxx that is! AND they offered me $5,000 les for my trade than what I was told and added $895 for doc fees.. My trade is really perfect with only 4,000 miles on it. BEWARE OF THIS DEALER!! They will ruin the good name of Mercedes-Benz. I implore you -- DO NOT TRUST OR BUY FROM THIS DEALER. More
We have requested a refund numerous times for a warranty that was not used when we traded in the vehicle. We were told it would take 6-8 weeks. It has now been 6 months! And no one gets back to us. that was not used when we traded in the vehicle. We were told it would take 6-8 weeks. It has now been 6 months! And no one gets back to us. More
