I knew what I wanted and had shopped a bit before visiting this dealership. When I walked in and was greeted by Joe, he made me feel very relaxed and no high pressure like other dealers had. I expl visiting this dealership. When I walked in and was greeted by Joe, he made me feel very relaxed and no high pressure like other dealers had. I explained the car I wanted (e350) and not only did he take the time to figure out which options were important to me, but found a car better equipped at a better price than NJ's "superstore". I have since sent several colleagues, friends and family to Joe because he makes us all feel like family. Every single person I have referred has the same impression and he continues to go above and beyond to make the whole buying process as well as service issues extremely smooth. I also commend Todd in Finance who was very professional and worked on some credit issues for a family member who wound up getting a better rate than expected which was nice. This dealership is so different then the highway stores and I highly recommend Joe and his team. Won't think of going anywhere else. More
From the minute I walked in the door, I felt respected as a customer. I was introduced to John Ryan, who was courteous, and very knowledgable about his product. After a few questions, and a look around the showroom, he helped me to narrow down my wants and needs. We defined what I was looking for, and started to test drive. He took his time and showed me all the possibilities that I may have overlooked. I ended up leasing a brand new car at a reasonable price and term. The extra attention to detail was appreciated. At pick up time, a dozen roses were waiting for my wife and a gift certificate to a local portrait studio was presented to us. This was unexpected and over the top as their customer service had already exceeded any other dealer we had visited. I will absolutely recommend this dealership to any and all and I feel like I have become a lifelong customer. Kudos to a dealership that gets it right!! More
I emailed Contemporary Motors inquiring about the ML350. Within 15 minutes, Craig Rollins called me. From the outset, the experience with Craig was low-key, certainly not something you would say about the experience you have when purchasing a car. I have nothing but positive things to say about everyone from Craig, to the gentlemen in Finance, who got me an even better rate (sorry I can't remember your name), and finally Richard, who walked me through all of the bells and whistles on my vehicle. To say that I had a great experience is an understatement. I highly recommend this dealership to anyone who asks me. More
I can't speak for the overall dealership because I went here years ago and did not like the people at all. But as far as the people I deal with now I have nothing but praise. I bought my cars for years f here years ago and did not like the people at all. But as far as the people I deal with now I have nothing but praise. I bought my cars for years from one of the "big" dealerships here in NJ. My buddy said I had to call Joe before leasing again. I figured I'd give him a shot but never really switch. This guy is unbelievable and you can tell he's different than the rest-he knows the cars, the financing, the ways to get your needs met and how to do it quickly without waffling 50 times. When he gives you his word, it is golden. There's no "oh, that didn't include tax" quotes, etc. I never had a better experience with anyone and feel like he is always in my corner. When I had some issues with the car it was clear he knew how to make sure his client base is taken care of and sent me to Anthony in service who is a great guy too. They worked together to make sure I was fully satisified. He takes the time to know your needs and takes the time to follow up after and make sure you are okay. It's the best experience I ever had and I would highly recommend. More
The brake fluid line was damaged by Contemporary Motor on my ML320 while in possession of my vehicle to service the cruise control safety recall. The problem was only brought to our attention after the crui my ML320 while in possession of my vehicle to service the cruise control safety recall. The problem was only brought to our attention after the cruise control job had been completed. Since Contemporary failed to admit any responsibility for the damaged line, we decided to take the vehicle elsewhere. We ultimately paid $350 to repair the damage incurred in their garage. Contemporary intended to charge us $2,000 to fix the problem, which was only pointed out to us after Contemporary completed the cruise control recall work. Eventually, when the car was returned to us, brake fluid was streaming from the pipeline. In the days to follow, I spoke with their Service Manager several times. At first, the Service Manager stated the leak was the result of corrosion to the underside of the vehicle, and was present before we gave the car to Contemporary. But when we gave the car to Contemporary, there was no brake problem and no oil leak. In fact, on that day we drove the vehicle 12 miles from our house to their facility, stopping at least 10 times for traffic lights, and at no point encountered a problem with the brakes. Moreover, there were no warning lights on the vehicle indicating any issue with the brake system. After several phone conversations, the Service Manager finally admitted that the leak only started AFTER the vehicle had been brought into their garage. I managed to extract this admission from him only after his story had changed multiple times, and after I had told him that I had walked around the facility grounds to search for a pool of fluid in your valet area and failed to find one on that day! Needless to say, we were disappointed with the way in which this situation was handled by Contemporary Motors. We expected a much higher level of customer service from a company dealing premium Mercedes automobiles. I wrote a letter to the President of the company complaining about the situation and asked for refunds on the repair cost, no reply from the company. Not recommend to do business with them at all. Let's just say when you are told to call a sales person instead of THEM calling you, you know you are in for a bad experience. After playing around with this associate for a few days, they told me to call instead of THEM calling you, you know you are in for a bad experience. After playing around with this associate for a few days, they told me to call them the next day. When I did, they didn't know who I was and told me they had the day off....EXACTLY, that is why they provided me with their prsonal cell phone number and why I called them! But they forgot that less than 24 hrs after speaking to me! Anyway, after telling them my price point, they proceeded to try to find me cars in the wrong color which were much more than I wanted to spend. My last conversation with them eneded with them telling me to call them AGAIN on the following day when they were back in the office. When I didn't call them, that was the last I heard of them!! Still waiting for that call-back, although I really don't need it since I went and purchased my vehicle from Freehold, who is a dealership that values their business! All I can really say to this dealership is thanks for wasting my time on the phone and via e-mails! You missed out on a $40K sale! More
Excellent no pressure Sales Department, they treat you better than family no matter what class you buy. Superior Service Department - they get it right the first time every time. Have been their customer better than family no matter what class you buy. Superior Service Department - they get it right the first time every time. Have been their customer for 8 years and can't wait to get my third car from them next year. I wouldn't buy any other make nor buy from any other dealer because of the way we and our cars are treated here. The service department has the best advisor I've dealt with in 35 years of buying new cars. More

Dealership lacks proper service writers & work does not get done as requested. Sales is okay, as long as you do your homework on the best price available and present that to them - otherwise you'll ov not get done as requested.
