We recently bought a 2024 Mercedes GLB and overall were happy with our purchase. The sales staff (Robbie) was great and management was pretty easy to deal with. The finance person was very nice and not pushy even though I realize his job is to try to sell service plans and extended warranties. My primary complaints with Five Star dealerships may be specific to me, but are worth mentioning. First, when you ask for the numbers, you get numbers that focus solely on the payments. The interest rate for financing is never mentioned. I understand that interest will be charged if the care is financed, but it should say what the rate will be. Second, the forced "Ceramic Protection" for $995 is just a money grab and negotiation tactic. Sure you can get them to lower the price but you'll still pay more than it is worth. Both of these relate to transparency, which I think is lacking and comes from the top in Georgia (not the local dealership). I have zero problem with a dealership making money, as they are not a charity. However, I want to see what I am paying for and how they came up with their numbers. More
