I'm a mom looking for a used car that would be dependable and in a good price range. When I found this vehicle this Honda Pilot on line and saw where it was located, I must admit tha,t I was a little intimi and in a good price range. When I found this vehicle this Honda Pilot on line and saw where it was located, I must admit tha,t I was a little intimidated by walking into a Mercedes Benz dealer. But a good deal is a good deal so I went in on a Monday night. I met Larry, whom I had talked to on the phone earlier in the day, and he was a tremendous help in getting me financing and helping me navigate the car buying experience. For the first time ever I didn't hate buying a car. He even made sure I drove my car home that night because it just started to snow and the tires on my mini-van were AWFUL! I am extrememly happy with my experience, the vehicle and the price of my "new" Honda Pilot. I have told everyone I know about your dealership, the amenities of services (comfortable surroundings, free car washes) and Larry. From the moment I drove up in my beater mini-van and then walked through the doors I was treated exceptionally well. I realize I am just a small minnow in comparison to the other customers that walk in but I wasn't treated like that and that is truly a testiment to your motto! Thank you! Julie Amendt P.S. I highly suggest NOT going to this dealership. I have a 2011 C63 AMG and I needed a key made. Seems like a simple request. Apparently not. A friendly associate greeted me at the front and walked me back to 2011 C63 AMG and I needed a key made. Seems like a simple request. Apparently not. A friendly associate greeted me at the front and walked me back to the service desk. So far so good. Then for some reason they said I had to pull my car around the other side of the building. So I did. After pulling into the area as requested the service person on that side said I had to pull around to yet another side of the building. Here’s where it got bad. That forced me to back out of the “in” garage. Of course there was someone pulling in so that left me little room to maneuver. I ended up popping over the curb slightly with both driver side tires. And anyone that knows how easy it is to bend the alloy rims on a C63 AMG knows that this will cost me $250 dollars per rim. OK. Believe it or not at this point I was a bit annoyed but still pretty fine. I pulled around to the other side where a guy greeted me. I asked if he could help me make a key and he looked at me confused. So then I asked to see a manager. After waiting 5 minutes for the manager to come out instead the same clueless employee came back out saying he can take me to the manager. When I walked with him to see the manager (I’ll let you guess) – That’s right! The manager wasn’t there. At this point the clueless employee looks even more confused. At that point I decided to leave. All this said I now have intimate knowledge of the thee sides you can enter and exit the Hoffman Estates Mercedes dealership, (suspected) two bent rims, no key and one Mercedes Dealership that I won’t be buying my next Mercedes from. Bought Sprinter passenger van on Saturday, promised delivery no later than Wednesday. Called several times to confirm, completed all paperwork and payment prior to delivery. At each call, received different stories....clear now that original delivery date was never doable. I had previously made appointments, and commitments for out of town long weekend, and purchased the vehicle based on delivery commitment. Have now had to cancel those, including deposits made based on your promise. I was told someone was physically going to Iowa to pick up the vehicle. District manager said my check would be available at closing...it was not. On Thursday morning, George committed to Thursday by 2pm. Not only did I not get the vehicle, no one ever called me all day with status, or to say the Thursday date could not be met. It is now Friday, I was just notified it is in....too late for the plans I made ...and with no acknowledgement of previous conversations. I had found a used vehicle, available immediately,before I checked with you. I upgraded to a new vehicle and gave you the business because of your promises. More

I purchased a 2012 C300 series, I explained my needs and was clear on the price. The sales person charged me more and the manager sees it as a "misunderstanding" therfore there is nothing they can do. I tru was clear on the price. I purchased ML350 last year and as a condition of the purchase rear bumper that as bent and not fitted properly should be fixed. But they did not fix it when I took the delivery. They asked me to bring i purchase rear bumper that as bent and not fitted properly should be fixed. But they did not fix it when I took the delivery. They asked me to bring it back later. I took it back after month or so on Dec 2011. Then again they did not fix it. I reported back again saying it was not fixed. They claimed that they replaced with a different bumper. But the problem remain. When I reported they asked me to bring it again. Since I am 30 miles away did not get time to drive many times, the sales person who sold us said bring it in next time when I need servicing. This year I took ti for oil change and reported the problem again. They said they will look at it but did not do anything. I reported again and they said they will take the car again and address it. But after taking the car now they say the bumper needs to be fixed that will cost me $875/- The whole experience is pretty bad and I had to drive my car 4 times for this issue that is like 4 * 60 = 240 miles just to the dealership. With my use of this car, it will be like 3 months worth of driving. At the end they are now refusing to fix it. Bottom line is: be careful with this dealership and get everything in writing and get it checked before you take the vehicle or avoid this dealership if you can. More

I have purchased many cars from them, and I have referred everyone I know to go there. Unlike most dealers, their great customer service starts when you buy the car. Their service department's customer service is absolutely second to none. They are truly the Nordstrom of the car industry. More
