I had been looki Definitely Recommend! I walked in to the Barrington show room on Wednesday, January 15 knowing next to nothing about Mercedes-Benz. I had been looking for a couple of weeks at Jeep, Ford, Toyota and BMWs. I was getting quite frustrated looking for a high end model within a mid-size SUV that did not include leather seats. (I am an animal rights advocate and avoid all animal products whenever possible.) By shear luck, I was greeted by Ken Betts as I entered. He promptly sat me in ML350 and walked me through all the controls, even lettin me start it up inside the showroom! He lifted the hood! Something no other dealer had done. He walked me through the safety features, reinforced engine compartment with crumple protection, triple-latched hood, engine recess zone...all of it. The dirt/sound perimter sealing was a nice plus and I was nearly sold. We went on a short test ride and he demonstrated the superior road handling, including start and stopping power in the ice and snow. Very impressive! When we returned, he had be drive through the back lot, and then through the service center explaining what the service experience would be like. Again, something no other dealership offered. We talked about building a new car to my specifications and I was disheartened to learn it would take up to 3 months. I thanked him for his time and went home to talk it over with my wife and she was okay with the decision, but 3 months was just too long. I had my heart set on a new car and never considered used. But it was looking more and more as if I was either going to have to compromise my principles and get a new Ford Explorer with leather, or settle for a lower model Jeep Grand Cherokee without leather (and without a lot of the extras that I wanted.) However, I was impressed with the great follow up by Leah Ruscitti who helped me identify a good used (practcally new) 350. It wasn't exactly what I wanted, but it was very close. On Friday, January 17, I arranged to meet Ken at the Hoffman Estates location where it was located. Ken arranged his schedule to meet me there as I was visiting customers in the area. We took the car for test drive and it was even better the second time. The rest of the process went smooth as we settled on price and financing was a breeze. Elizabeth helped me come up with the right downpayment amount and payments to meet my needs. Before I left, Ken introduced me to the service manager, the accessories manager, Ashley(?) and then walked me through some final operation details. The follow up in the four days since then has been amazing! Leah and Ken have both asked how everything is going. Ken provided a cheat sheet on garage door synching and Leah will be setting me up with a service tag for car washes and other services. I would definitely recommend both Barrington and Hoffman Estates Motor Werks! More

It was a great experience from the time I walked into the door. All of the staff was friendly and attentive. My salesman, Jonathan, was great. This is a terrible place to go, to have your car serviced. I have a 2006 clk 500. The Person i dealt with was Scott. Initially it was a normal visit. My car had a knocking noise coming from the fron serviced. I have a 2006 clk 500. The Person i dealt with was Scott. Initially it was a normal visit. My car had a knocking noise coming from the front. After the diagnostic Scott told me the a/c unit was tearing apart. Which was causing the noise. And burnt oil smell in side the car. When i came to pick up my car, the service they provided was poor. They did a car wash and scratched my car. Yet alone the oil smell is still there. The car is now wabbling.And the noise is still there. Which Scott said was comming from a different part of the car. Some thing he forgot to mention i guess when initially diagnosed. Now after spending 3 K, the car is running much worse. The noise is still there, the burnt oil smell is still there, When braking the car is shaking. The only 2 issues prior to this that my car had was knocking noice that started to come from the front of the engine and secondly the burnt oil smell. So i called them back and been told 10 different times that i will be getting a call back from the service manager. But i guess either he forgets or doesnt have time for his customer. If you want your car to be ruined. And experience terrible customer service and techs. Please visit this dealership. Otherwise i suggest go some place else. More
