I have owned a Mercedes for the last two years and frankly can't wait to get rid of it. It has had numerous problems none that have been normal maintenance . The first time we brought the car in for frankly can't wait to get rid of it. It has had numerous problems none that have been normal maintenance . The first time we brought the car in for service we reported several problems and when we picked it up we assumed that all items had been fixed. Unfortunately that was not the case . And so that prompted the second visit with another hefty bill. Finally on our last visit I am highly insulted that this email wad addressed to my husband and not to the car owner. I am the one who spoke with the service department and so I am the one giving the review. I was extremely upset when I picked up my vehicle that it had not been washed or vacuumed. You would think that would be just common courtesy. Just another reason not to own another Mercedes. More

My recent service visit at Mercedes Benz of Hilton Head was a very pleasant experience. The customer service was excellent for several reasons. This week my service was handled by James Hammond and I was more than satisfied with the most courteous and efficient service he gave me. Although I purchased my C300 in NY several years ago and have used many MB service centers...Hilton Head Mercedes is the best Dealership I have ever experienced. I tell everyone how wonderfully they treat all customers and I don't think I would even consider buying my next Mercedes from any other Dealership. I would like to commend James Hammond for the absolute perfect service I was afforded on my last visit. A very clean waiting area, good coffee and the morning news; with James overseeing my service makes for a great 1 hour stop at Mercedes today!! Thank you. More
I live in Virginia and purchased a certified 2011 Mercedes E350 Blutec from Nelson Gassman seeing only photographs of the car along with only his verbal description. I flew to Hilton Head and was picked up promptly by a driver from the dealership. When I arrived Nelson was waiting for me with all the paperwork nicely organized and efficiently dealt with that part of the purchase. The general manager was also organized and courteous with the final documents. Now, the car! It is beautiful and everything Nelson described and I anticipated. Unless I looked at the odometer I would have sworn it was a new vehicle. Nelson took his time demonstrating the operation of the Command system and other operational functions. I had researched comparison vehicles located as far away as Arizona and in the end Nelson's courteous manner and fair price sold me on this dealership. I'm a completely satisfied customer and give Nelson Gassman my highest recommendation. It's worth mentioning that of all the car dealerships I contacted prior to my purchase Nelson is the only one who took the time to write a letter of introduction before we began serious car buying talks. Nelson also arranged for the purchase of optional rubber floor matts and a front window sun screen and gave me a discount on both. When searching for a new or pre-owned Mercedes you would do well to contact Nelson Gassman at Mercedes-Benz of Hilton Head. More
We have bought two E350s from Dave Trecki in sales: a new bluetec 2011 two years ago and a used 2011 convertible recently. I have dealt with automotive sales people for almost 50 years and can count on one hand the ones whom I felt I could trust to be fully honest. Dave is one of those few. The service department has been extremely helpful also. We had sensor problems (check engine light) with our bluetec, but James and the rest of the service crew stuck with it until the problem was resolved. They provided a choice of shuttle pick-up/drop-off when it was appropriate or a clean, serviceable loaner when I asked for one. Frankly, if the service department had been less professional on the bluetec, we would not have come back for another Mercedes. You expect to be treated well at a Mercedes dealership, and HH Mercedes-Benz met that expectation. More
