However, some of the service advisors are not as nice or personable, particularly my latest advisor, Filiberto Pena. He did not try to be helpful. He was not nice. Also, he did not treat me like he wanted to do what he could to help me. He was just direct and business-like. (Rigid) More

I normally don't do reviews, but I think it is important to prevent other people to become victims of unscrupulous service centers like Mercedes Benz of Fort Lauderdale. I have a car that I am keeping unti to prevent other people to become victims of unscrupulous service centers like Mercedes Benz of Fort Lauderdale. I have a car that I am keeping until it becomes a classic. It is a Mercedes Benz ML63 year 2008 with 76000 miles, it is in great condition. I took my car in for a safety recall received from Mercedes Benz about my brake system vacuum pump. When the service advisor received my car he offered to plug in the computer to diagnose a Check Engine light my car had lit, The price offered for the diagnostic was $289.00 I refused to do it because I already knew the problem is a $22.55 oxygen sensor that I have to order from Amazon. When I received the car 2 days later and started the engine I noticed on the instrument cluster the yellow triangle + the ABS light on and a Message in the center screen: ABS, ESP Unavailable. Before moving my car or leaving the premises I intermediately turned off the engine and walked to the office of the service advisor to explain what was going on. He acknowledged that the only light that was on when he received the car 2 days before was the Check Engine light as he wrote on the work order and told me "the other lights came on because the car is simply old and things like that happen all the time". I told him most likely it should be that something was unplugged by accident when the technicians performed the recall. Since I was not satisfied with his silly explanation he called the Service Manager for me and the solution offered by that lady was to diagnose the car out my pocket to find out if it was their fault or not. Of course I didn't allow them to touch the car again to avoid getting robed. In my opinion the Service Department at Mercedes Benz of Ft. Lauderdale is managed by very dishonest people that need to put their hands in your pockets no matter what. Now I need to find out on my own what sensors they disconnected to cause this fault (most likely on purpose) At this point I truly believe it was definitely on purpose. Why all that? Because Mercedes Benz does not pay them much for recalls and they have to scrape some extra money to compensate? Keep your money in your pocket where it belongs and avoid this place. More
