When I arrived home I heard a loud banging noise coming from the engine. I shut the car off and called the dealership. It was after hours so their receptionist gave me the service reps voicemail. I left a message and asked him to call me asap in the morning. By 8:30 the next day I still did not hear from him so I called him again. It was quickly determined that the mechanic failed to put oil in the car. In fact, the mechanic failed to perform just about every step of the expected service because we found the windshield washer resevior empty also. Poor, lazy work! Ryan Kincade, the service manager, promised to "make it right", but his idea of that concept was to fill it with oil and give it back. It took 5 weeks of arguing, demanding and threatening with legal action before they relented. The total cost of my original car was returned in exchange for a new 2011 E350 at a discounted price. Needless to say, I will not return to this dealership for service visits. More
I initially had some major issues with this dealership and spent a great deal of time trying to rectify the situation. After I thought all was over, and I was angry, Mr. Sloane called. UPDATE: The de and spent a great deal of time trying to rectify the situation. After I thought all was over, and I was angry, Mr. Sloane called. UPDATE: The dealership reached out to me after reading this review. I believe finally someone is trying to make this right. Update 2: I am very happy to say that I was wrong about Mr. Sloan taking over this dealership. After becoming aware of my dissatisfaction he stepped in, listened intently, and helped me to reach a very amicable solution. This has renewed my faith in the Sloane name and Ft Washington Mercedes. I will continue to use them as my dealer as they have proven their commitment to customer service as most importantly customer satisfaction. More
We have purchased 2 vehicles (new) from R & S Imports over the last 12 years, all my experiences have been very good. Both sales professionals went out of their way and took the time to help my wife with over the last 12 years, all my experiences have been very good. Both sales professionals went out of their way and took the time to help my wife with her selection. Tony has gone out of his way to accommodate our schedules for service, from lining up a loaner, to explaining all services or repairs needed. Our first Mercedes was traded in with over 175k miles, and our current one is at 105k+ an still runs like new, I credit that to the maintenance and service R & S has provided over the years. More
My S-500 was towed 5 times and requested roadside assistance 10 times, the dealer changed battery 4 times and finally told me it was the gps electic leakage and non fixable(they sent to radio-shack, assistance 10 times, the dealer changed battery 4 times and finally told me it was the gps electic leakage and non fixable(they sent to radio-shack, they could not find anything wrong). Their advise is do not place dvd on the gps , what a great solution! My E-class has checked engine light on, they fixed 6times and told me it is not worth to invest on the vehicle anymore after waste thousands of dollars. Later the car was fixed by a local garage for replacing a $16 worth of plastic tube in exhaust system. what kind of workmanship the dealer has! More
If i could give negatives, I would. The service is just terrible at this dealership. I own three different brands of luxury cars, a lexus, bmw, and a mercedes. None of the other dealerships' services are a terrible at this dealership. I own three different brands of luxury cars, a lexus, bmw, and a mercedes. None of the other dealerships' services are as poor as this one. When I first got my car in 2000, the service experience was relatively good and 8 years later it totally went down the toilet. When I first called to schedule an appointment, it took over 10 minutes of waiting before i got connected to a scheduling rep. That is fine as long as I get my car fixed in the end (just that the other car dealerships I've been to, the scheduling rep is usually instant). So the day comes and I take my car to the dealership to fix my radio and some other problems. I waited a total of four hours and after the THIRD hour, the service rep came over and told me that my radio will not be covered under the extended warranty that I bought and that its going to cost me 750 to replace. At that point I was pissed off and I went home and just did some googling, which I should have done in the first place because it literally took me 10 minutes to fix the problem myself. As great as I felt saving that 700 dollars for the sound system, i cant help but still feel cheated by paying 3000+ dollars for the extended warranty just so these useless and under qualified "service reps" can try and "fix" my car. I love their cars however using their service department is like getting a tooth pulled. When you pay upwards of $60,000 for a car you expect(and they advertise) impeccable service however thats not what yo is like getting a tooth pulled. When you pay upwards of $60,000 for a car you expect(and they advertise) impeccable service however thats not what you get at R&S. They don't seem to care much because, I guess, they must feel they are the only Mercedes Benz dealer in the area. Very high prices, very arrogant service personnel, lost keys, lost paperwork. car is dirty when returned. Overall just not the type of experience they constantly advertise. More
They had my car for 3 days and it was returned (while they were still here) with the same issue. When I telephoned the next day to talk with the service dept they yelled and said it was impossible - the they were still here) with the same issue. When I telephoned the next day to talk with the service dept they yelled and said it was impossible - the car was fixed, test driven, QA'd, etc. Did I mention this proble was of a warning / message showing up in the dash read out - it was there when it went in and it is there when it was returned. It was not a subjective issue. More
