We brought our GL to Mercedes Benz of Fort Myers for the emissions recall campaign. After two weeks we went to pick it up and there was a noise which the shop foreman verified and the kept it another week emissions recall campaign. After two weeks we went to pick it up and there was a noise which the shop foreman verified and the kept it another week to find they left a bolt out. We went to pick it up and there was a harsh vibration which the foreman verified and they kept it another week to adjust the new exhaust. After finally picking it up, I found the front grille was broken as was the mount for the grille and right headlight. There was a nick on the left wheel rim and a clamp got the engine compartment fuse box was missing as were three push rivets and two 10mm bolts from the undercarriage. The dealership provided a new front grille but refused to fix or replace anything else. I order the missing parts from another MB dealer and won’t be returning to MB of Fort Myers. More

Horrible experience, possibly the worst Service Department I've ever been to. I own 8 vehicles, including Teslas, Maserati and Alfa Romeos, Mercedes and Fords, etc etc. This has been hands down t Department I've ever been to. I own 8 vehicles, including Teslas, Maserati and Alfa Romeos, Mercedes and Fords, etc etc. This has been hands down the worst Service experience I've had at any dealership. Bunch of scam artists trying to take your money providing NO service whatsoever. I would stay away, these are the kinds of people that would break something on your vehicle while it's there for service, so they can charge you five times the amount to "fix" the broken things they did. Update The Service Manager reached out to me and explained that the rep I was dealing with was new and did not understand how things work. After he spoke with the mechanic and the rep on the case, he decided to issue a full refund to me and personally call and apologize. I appreciate it and have changed my rating. Thank you for making things right. I will further change to 5 star once I bring back the vehicle for service and see how they perform. More
I received a recall from Mercedes telling me I should "STOP DRIVING MY CAR" that I purchased new from MB Fort Myers, the fault could result in brake failure with a risk of crash & serious injury, pretty "STOP DRIVING MY CAR" that I purchased new from MB Fort Myers, the fault could result in brake failure with a risk of crash & serious injury, pretty serious stuff right? You would expect that the dealership that sold you that car that could potentially crash or cause you serious injury to resolve without delay or inconvenience? You would expect the dealership to pull out all the stop and ensure the customer who spent $50,000 purchasing that car new was not inconvenience? You would expect not to be left out be left out of pocket, and Mercedes would do everything in there power to ensure your very expensive purchase was made safe for you and your family as soon as possible and without further delay and in a reasonable timescale? Then you would be wrong! The dealership will not provide a mobile inspection or provide a loaner car as per the recall letter. The dealership want you to stop using the vehicle without providing an alternative vehicle, without providing a timescale for the repairs, it may be months rather than days or weeks. They did suggest I rent a car for the unknown repair period while they repair the car that was manufactured by them badly and is now too dangerous to drive, yes!!! you got that right, me rent a car at my expenses while they repair the dangerous car they sold me! Have you rented a car recently? an equivalent size model/vehicle would cost circa $1000 a week, then I have to try and get it reimbursed, what if its the month? would you spend $4000.00 to rent a car because the car you already spent $50,000 buying is too dangerous to drive? Mercedes Benz customer service is non existent, I initially rang the Fort Myers dealership 5 times and only got voicemail (I think that tells you everything you need to know about a business) Finally after I rang MBUSA they rang me back, offered nothing other than rental a car, they accused me of insulting them because I suggested "once they have there grubby hands on the money they don't want to know" yes I did say it, and until they do something to resolve this issue then I'm probably right. As a former Mercedes employee I understand sales & the service depts . When moving here we owned2 MB's. One a 2006 E class diesel, & a 2012 4 matic Wagon. After moving here I had an issue with fuel deliv service depts . When moving here we owned2 MB's. One a 2006 E class diesel, & a 2012 4 matic Wagon. After moving here I had an issue with fuel delivery system in the diesel. Chapter 1 - My first visit they couldn't find any problem, but charged me $200 for looking.. A week later the same error message appeared. When I suggested checking the filter they must've had an AHA Moment & said it was clogged & charged me another $200.for what should have been a simple filter replacement. Chapter 2 During that visit I had asked a sales person to be notified if they ever tale in an ML with 4 matic. Gave my name & contact info. A couple months later while driving bye I see an ML 4Matic on the lot. The original sales person was busy & referred me another. A day later I bought it. Chapter 2.Havent heard from him since. Chapter 3 - Our wagons's interior wood trim has discolored & when asking to make an appt for an estimate to replace ( as part of a class action settlement ) they refused. Even when I requested an appt to see what replacing the trim would cost !! Said until they receive a recall notice they won't do anything- even if I'm a customer !! I don't know where these customers praising their sales & service come from. Just because its a Mercedes oil changes at $ $250 ? ( at all the dealers too ?) Having owned MB's for 30 years its always nice seeing some experienced hi level techs, which I haven't seen at either of these dealers. & seeing how they gouge service customers I'll look in other directions for good, honest service. I feel for that poor guy paying $6000 after the mgr showed him . May as well show him that bridge in Brooklyn. Mercedes are built to last. Components can fail but in the past MB has honored components even out of warranty or given some accomodations. More
Been to this dealer 4 times with the same problem, each time they changed something, the last time they kept my car for 12 days and I still have the same issue. Then spoke with Jeff Gann, General Manag time they changed something, the last time they kept my car for 12 days and I still have the same issue. Then spoke with Jeff Gann, General Manager at Mercedes-Benz of Fort Myers, said nonsense, promised to help and disappeared. semi-skilled mechanics, if there is something difficult with the car, they cannot fix it. Arrive at scheduled appointment time of 8:00 am for a Mercedes Benz B Service, and 2 Campaigns (recalls). One for a potential short in the steering column and the other the replacement of the passenger s Mercedes Benz B Service, and 2 Campaigns (recalls). One for a potential short in the steering column and the other the replacement of the passenger side airbag. (Left at 11:45 am). The Service Writer first quoted me $1,925.00 for the "B" service PLUS Mercedes Benz's RECOMMENDED additional services for vehicles that are 5-years of age or, 50,000 miles. My 2015 E 400 4-matic coupe has 38,800 miles. They wanted to change spark plugs, change the axle fluid, cabin air-filter. I said NO. I left there paying for the "B" service for $425 (minus a coupon I had for $150.00). This gets better: The car was returned to me with dirt and grease on both front seats (which I cleaned before being able to get into the car. PLUS, there's grease and dirt on the passenger side dash, pillar post. and door buttons which I did not notice until I was on the road. And lastly, my car now pulls to the right. I pulled to the side of the road and took pictures of the grease/dirt. I'll show them to anyone interested. NEVER AGAIN WILL I SET FOOT INTO THIS DEALERSHIP. More
