But, considering the lack of integrity that we ran into at this location, I am not surprised. The dealership and sales person, Reginald Shoats, were recommended to me by a friend who has purchased at least 6 cars from them in the last several years. Because of that friendship, I will admit I dropped by guard and didn't protest too much when shady sales tactics were raising some red flags. We were subjected to hard sale attempts like telling us a couple of the cars we were looking at already had "interested parties" and we should decide quickly before they sold. We also were told their "rock bottom" price on a used car. When we turned it down since it was over-priced, they magically got a phone call stating that the number was incorrect and the real price was lower. But the part that had us most angered, was that we were talked into a lease when we specifically said over and over that we usually buy our cars outright and wanted to be assured that if we chose to pay the car off early there would be no additional costs, fees or other surprises. In addition to Reginald, both sales person, Will Harold and finance manager, Jerry Garsez said directly to us more than once that there would be no issues. They rushed us through the paperwork since it was late at night and in my error, I didn't pour over the fine print. Low and behold, I went to pay off the car since we did end up loving it and I was to be charged close to $4500 more than the purchase price due to penalties, interest and fees. When I called to try and straighten out the details, I was given the run around. I was told by my friend that Reginald knew better and even Jerry said Reginald knew the workings of the lease and that I was misled and they never should have put me in that lease. Although I was told the deal could be rewritten and they had done so before, they never followed through with it. They sell, "A lifetime relationship with our clients" but in reality they just wanted to make a buck and to my own chagrin, I didn't do my due diligence and got burnt. Needless to say, as soon as the lease is over the car will be returned and we will head to Denver to purchase another one. We love their cars and will continue to stay with them, but not through this dealership. More

My most recent service was a tire replacement on my wife's GLK. The service department, although quite busy, gave me an appointment knowing that the problem was a break in the sidewall on the front tire of the vehicle. The break was the result of a pothole impact. Knowing this was an unsafe condition they replaced the tire, checked the rim for any possible damage and advised me to look for any indicator while driving that the vehicle may need an alignment. I was treated like a valued customer. I also know that Steve Crosby, Service Manager, believes and insists that all his employees treat their customers with respect and courtesy. The wife and I have purchased 6 vehicles from this dealer, 4 Certified and 2 New. Over the years I have had the opportunity to deal with many of the staff and I can say that it is a pleasure to work with both the Sales and Service. More

The service writers and the repair techs did an outstanding job the day I showed up without an appointment to get a slow leak fixed. In fact, they found several problems and fixed them all quickly and without any needless discussion. My thanks go out to service writer Steve Differding and the service manager Steve Crosby. The way he tells his colleagues about a rumor without stopping to think and asked what, how, and why it started, make him the stupid person in the whole planet. He doesn't have genuine greeting nor response to greeting. He tried hard to sell me service that has no bearing with how my vehicle will perform. He gets so defensive when I try to tell him otherwise. He thinks too highly for himself. Because you work for MBZ, it doesn't make you an expert. You're not the mechanic and doesn't do any research of your own. You just jump to conclusion just like those people you'd heard about a rumor. Until you have all the facts, just sit down and shut the f*$@ up. People like you affects coworkers that are honest negatively and disgrace the company you work for. More
Will never give them business again due to the Finance Dir. I'm going to try to be as succinct as possible since so much time has passed since we purchased a Certified Pre Owned C300 from here at the end of bu I'm going to try to be as succinct as possible since so much time has passed since we purchased a Certified Pre Owned C300 from here at the end of business hours on August 9th, 2014. The reason being that I experienced a customer service issue that wasn't closed out until January 17th, 2015. To start, I'd like to identify the individuals that provided great customer service, such as Doug Dieterle, the salesman who found us the vehicle. It wasn't listed on the website or even showing on the lot. He had it brought back in since it was being used as a dealer vehicle at the time, and after looking it over it had all the features I wanted minus the lighting package. So thank you Doug for your service. Ms. Penny Stanton in the customer service department. After the customer service issue was brought to her attention, she placed great effort in attempting to get it resolved. Now for the issue. I am an active duty service member whose state of residence is Florida. During the finance portion of the transaction, I informed Mr. Jerry Garsez, the Finance Director that I had no intention of titling or registering the vehicle in Colorado. He adamantly informed me that I could not get financing through Mercedes Benz Financial with a Colorado home address and register the vehicle in Florida. I brought with me the Florida title packet, a copy of my orders bringing me to Colorado, and the Florida SALES TAX EXEMPTION form that I would submit to title and register the car in Florida. I ultimately completed the purchase for the car that included CO sales tax in order to not miss out on the vehicle as well as the financing special MB was offering at the time (first two payments made by MB and additional year, unlimited mile warranty). Keep in mind, I already had financing secured through USAA. Mr. Garsez continued to inform me that MB wouldn't finance me if I didn't have a Florida address. As much as I tried to inform him that I shouldn't be assessed sales tax, he could not give an explanation or would not even research if it was possible to sell the vehicle without assessing sales tax. In retrospect, it was a condescending experience and I should not have given MB Colorado Springs my business. IT IS POSSIBLE FOR A DEALER TO SELL A VEHICLE WITHOUT SALES TAX! We just purchased a brand new Mini Countryman from Schomp Mini yesterday. I explained to them my situation (Military, FL resident, title/registering in FL). It was a new situation to the Finance Department at Schomp Mini, but they were attentive and open. They reviewed the FL paperwork and did not assess a CO sales tax! In summary, that one bad experience with Mr. JERRY GARSEZ was enough for me to NEVER bring anymore business to Mercedes Benz of Colorado Springs. His lack of respect to even hear out a customer is outrageous. During our transaction it was a very "his way or the highway" tone. Given that he was the only finance person there, I regretfully continued with the purchase. Ms. Penny Stanton and Wil Harold put an effort in recouping the taxes but today I received final word from Mr. Harold that they cannot refund the $1060 in taxes I should not have been assessed. I will now have to submit forms to the City to attempt to regain wrongly assessed taxes. I love the car and have come to love the brand. But I will NEVER bring any more business to the dealership that employs and pays someone with the character traits and lack of customer service that MR. JERRY GARSEZ has. More

The Service Dept is first-rate, providing quality service each and every time. The Service Manager, Steve Crosby, is approachable and customer-oriented and always has a friendly word. He has helped me out on several occasions when I had issues with my car. Lance Michaels, Parts Manager, knows his stuff and always points me in the right direction. The service reps, Steve Differding and Ken Davis, are friendly and take the time to fully explain the work to be done. That is important to me as a woman. This time I had a slow leak in my right rear tire. I was able to get an appointment quickly and then the techs took over. They took the tire off, checked it and discovered that a nail was the cause of the leak. They patched the tire and aired it back up. I was on my way in no time at all - and at no charge! Thanks for a great job (as usual), MB-CS! On the Sales side, Dave Williamson is top notch - never a hard sell but always extremely knowledgeable. He inspires confidence in a very significant purchase (we've done it 5 times!). MB-CS has elevated car-buying and service to a surprisingly satisfying experience.
