I brought my car in for it’s annual service. I had PREPAID for this service when I bought my car. The dealership initially told me that they would not honor my prepaid service because it had exp I had PREPAID for this service when I bought my car. The dealership initially told me that they would not honor my prepaid service because it had expired 6 weeks ago! How can a prepaid service expire? Well, apparently, I was a few weeks late to service my car and they randomly decided this, even though in my contract it did not say anything about this. They told me that I would have to pay $1200 for the service check up. They also tried to charge us an extra $600 to do a transmission fluid change, that was due at 60,000 miles, although our car only had 29,000 miles. They eventually honored the service prepayment, but only after telling me that they were taking a loss on this service themselves and I had to leave them a 5 star rating. We did allow them to sell us a new battery that the service person suggested, although we had not been having any issues with our current battery. We did this because my husband was so embarrassed at the back and forth argument and felt that they had done us some favor. Honestly, , they did not do anything that I had not Already paid for, attempted to have me be beholden to them and leave them a good review. I have been dealing with this particular dealership for at least 12 years, through 6 Mercedes’. Brion, Kevin and Mercedes of Coconut Creek, shame on you. You can do better. More
