I noticed a fuel smell while under warranty and left the van at the dealer for over a week as I refused to pick up the van without a repair but I finally accepted to pick up if it was noted in the system that I had a complaint about this for liability purposes and put a fire extinguisher in the van just in case. This fuel smell continued but it’s expensive to the business to be down a service truck so I continued to drive it up until 2 weeks ago when I was inspecting the engine bay and saw fuel leaking in the engine bay. I brought the van to the dealership for regular maintenance and to replace a few worn parts as well as fix the fuel leak and was denied coverage on the fuel leak that was reported while under warranty and quoted $1,600 to replace hoses that were purchased from the dealer for less than $200. I had let this go, typical dealership bs, told them to continue with the rest of the work and I would pick it up. I paid in advance for a speedy delivery and came to pick up the van on Friday morning. While I was waiting, I went to the parts dept to get a few things and after ordering and paying, the van still wasn’t ready. I asked my adviser what was happening (20 minutes had passed since they had gone to get the van) . Finally after 45 minutes, I saw them looking though keys and I asked for a loaner while they figured their stuff out. I was told that no loaners are provided and was offered a shuttle hike which was in an old generation c250 in so-so condition. No follow up all of Friday and had to call in a favor with the sales manager to finally find the missing key Saturday. Picked up the car, no apology, no complimentary wash. I get better service with Kia and don’t plan on ever buying a Mercedes again. So sad to see such a great company turn to be so bad. More
I worked with Adam and he was professional and a very patient with me. Even though I did not do the service ( personally too costly for me) he was very nice to me and did not get angry at my silly phone patient with me.
