Salesman pressured and I made a poor decision to purchase leaving a large down payment. After not sleeping all night, I called the next morning explaining that it was my mistake and I needed to bring the care back. I had just left at 7pm the day before and it was 8am the next morning Mr. Zoda again told me I was fine and needed to stay in the car. After strongly confirming I did not feel comfortable, I was abruptly told to return the car immediately. I assured him I was on my way. When we arrived, he was rude, stand offish, and never offered to help me find a lower priced vehicle. When confronted, he said he had none. When asked if he didn't have one or didn't want to sell one, he told us he would not us another vehicle nor would that dealership ever sell us another vehicle. I'm quite certain that we are not the only people to ever make a rash decision only to return 12 hours later. For a Mercedes and Infinity dealership, it was quite surprising. We received the ice treatment and stink eye from the second we entered. I will never go to a Lokey dealership of any kind ever again. Went down the street to Ford and bought a new car. More

This is my last ditch effort to try and get this resolved. In early August, I took the vehicle to Lokey Mercedes-Benz in Clearwater, FL to have some issues fixed with my car. It has been in twice to fix the same issues, the most important is a loud whining or whirring noise coming from the engine or drive train. The service department gave up trying to fix the noise after replacing the a/c compressor, and power steering pump, suggesting the noise was “normal for this model”. The pitch of the whine is consistent with the RPM of the engine. I have driven the vehicle a few times with the shop foreman and he has confirmed the existence of the whine. We even took a ride in a similar Year/Model ML, and found the whine to exist in it as well, except much louder. Once I heard the noise, I commented that it was louder than my vehicle. I hoped at this point, there would be an avenue to pursue the origin of the noise and it’s repair. I was surprised when the foreman seemed satisfied with returning my vehicle to me and closing the work order because it seemed to be “normal”, and mine was quieter than the other. I was so unhappy, I didn’t know what to say and just took my vehicle and left without addressing the other issues. The shop foreman knew I wasn’t happy, he said that if he ever finds out what it is and how to fix it, he would call me and have me bring it in. If he hadn’t understood my feelings about it, then I doubt we would have offered to do that. This last incident occurred on 8/14/2013. A few days later, I emailed Amy Steeves the Customer Service Manager for Lokey explaining my issues. She forwarded the issue to Matt Villani, the Service Manager. Matt and I spoke later that day which was Friday, Aug. 16, 2013. He explained that he would research the issue and get back to me. He explained that he would not be able to get back to me until the following Wednesday, 8/21/2013 due to a work related event he had to attend on Monday and Tuesday. Wednesday came and went and I didn’t hear from him. On Thursday 8/22/13 I sent a follow up email requesting an update. Matt called me later that afternoon explaining that he was still looking into it. Later that evening, I did some research in some of the MB forums on the internet and forwarded my finding to Matt be email. I have yet to even receive follow up confirmation from him that he even has read the email. So that is where I stand currently. The follow up has left me feeling stranded. I fear this is going to be one of the stories you hear about the problem vehicle and the apathetic dealer service. This is the first MB I have owned. So far it has not lived up to the expectations when a person thinks of Mercedes. We have been considering the purchase of a convertible, either an SLK, or E Class for my wife. After this experience it is unlikely that it will be a Mercedes. What disturbs the most is the seemingly apathetic attitude from the management in the service area. To boil it down to its essence, it is a relatively new Certified Pre-Owned Mercedes-Benz, it makes a whining noise, the service department doesn’t express any interest in finding the problem if it is not a quick fix, even when presented with the similar make/model also in their facility for service making same noise, but louder, and the management at the facility seems to support them. Lokey has a great service department and truly care about their customers. Can't believe I am saying this about a car dealership, but they really stepped up to the plate for me. My brand new car seems to h their customers. Can't believe I am saying this about a car dealership, but they really stepped up to the plate for me. My brand new car seems to have had a defective transmission. Mercedes is airfreighting a new one to Lokey for replacement and going to inspect the old one. Seems they do care if the product they put out is not perfect. So glad I bought my car here!! Keith, Mark and Karen in sales, and Eric the shop foreman couldn't have been more accommodating. Thanks again!! More

I have been to car dealerships before in the past. I must say this was the first time that I truly had an outstanding experience. I was treated well, the processs went quickly and the vehicle that I got was like it was right off the showroom floor. I have never seen a 4 year old car look that new; it was like no one ever touched it. The vehicle was very clean, had all the maintenance records, all the manuals, both keys and floor mats. I even got a warranty. I will tell anyone that resides in the Tampa area to make the drive to Lokey Motor Company. Even with today's gas prices its worth and the construction on the way, its worth the drive to Clearwater. More

No one is this busy. I've waited nearly 40 minutes and heard 1 service adviser on a personal call for nearly that amount of time. I think someone in this organization needs to take an outsiders look at what is going on. I know for a fact a lot of surveys are not answered accurately or some just ignored AND SOME COMPANIES GET A FALSE FEEL OF SECURITY FROM THE INACCUARATE RESPONES from a few surveys done. Send a decoy into your service department and see for yourself. I personally will never use Lokeys services again nor will I ever purchase another vehicle from them. I have delt with Crown Mercedes in St Petersburg and they truly know hopw to treat a customer. One additional item the employees at Lokey should learn how to do and thats call customers back, they certainly fail in that catagory, again thats the arrogance. More
