I received a r This review and advice is really aimed at women buyers!! Lokey listed a used Miata for sale on AutoTrader and I made the price inquiry. I received a response the car was $6,400 from the internet advert manager on Dec 30th afternoon. Then there's an email from a salesman saying the price is $6,258 on Sunday later same afternoon. Ok..I'll take the ride from Sarasota to look. While I'm driving on the way up Monday, another email from the internet advert manager came in (I saw later that evening) stating the price was LOWERED again to now $6,000. I will be the first to say how pleasant everyone was to me while I was there on both visits. I saw the car, liked it and started the paperwork - took about 3 1/2 hours to get it done as I had to wait for the sales manager to finish up with others (whom I did not see on the floor). If I had seen the two previous emails, I would have questioned why the leading line - price of the vehicle - was $6,400, not the $6,000 sent at 1:50 pm (at 2:54 - I texted home just arrived). I was allowed $500 for my trade-in after they evaluated it,(Edmunds book came in little over $1,200) against the same year and model as the Miata I was purchasing. So by jacking the price back up to $6,400, I was really not given $500 for my trade-in. When I saw the price changes on the emails that evening, I returned Wednesday to request a refund of $428.00 to match the price directly advertised to me via email. It was refused by the sales manager who said they'd probably lose money on my trade-in car with transportation etc to auction. Best I could do was have a burnt out backup light replaced and the battery cable that popped off the post twice tightened. I realize they are NOT a Mazda dealership, they are wholesaling the car off with some profit, but I don't appreciate feeling/being ripped off $428. I was offered a rewrite on the paperwork for $6,000 plus incidentals ($995 for "pre-delivery charge" with a burnt-out backup light that should have been fixed for that?) showing my car was traded for $100. Or I could have my trade-in back. Well, I can't drive two cars at once, it has two areas starting to rust bubble and 125,000 miles compared to 21,000, so it was logical to sit back and remember 'the house always wins'. So when all said and done, ladies (and everyone else) keep your eyes open when dealing with three people giving you different prices for the same automobile, check your texts frequently when dealing with them, and watch your wallet with regards to their fuzzy math. Never before have I had a dealer tell me that I needed new air filters only because "I didn't have the car serviced at that dealership". The "mechanic" didn't even bother looking at the air filters, he just wrote that he recommends they get changed. If he actually LOOKED at the filters, he would see they were clean since they were just replaced 3 weeks ago. He would also see that the oil change was replaced 3 weeks ago, too, per the sticker from the other shop I go to. This is a dealership that completely relies on what the MBENZ scanner says, versus actually looking at the problem the customer has. I will never return here again. Crown Euro provides better service and actually fixes things that need to be fixed. More

First of all, we needed help with shipping our BMW to our daughter in St. Louis. Bill Gilkes was a huge help in that regard. John Sauer, our excellent sales person, saw that the new Mercedes GLC 300 had everything that I wanted. This includes a difficult color combination that was hard to find. He did it all with style, grace, and in a timely manner. Last comes Tanya McKenney. She did the difficult task of teaching me how to use all the features and internet capabilities of the SUV. Her patience was beyond reproach. She left me with call me anytime if you are having difficulties. We would highly recommend using Lokey Motor Company and John Sauer for your next vehicle purchase. No Customer Loyalty I had a bill of sale to buy a vehicle and offered to give a deposit because I knew this was a good deal. I called to confirm the sale only to find out I had a bill of sale to buy a vehicle and offered to give a deposit because I knew this was a good deal. I called to confirm the sale only to find out that it was sold right from under me. No communication that this had even happened and a total waste of my time. I had dealt with Frank Harris. He was very unprofessional, total lack of communication, and very uncourteous.(I. e., not even the respect of a phone call to tell me what happened). The bottom line is that money first and customers last. If they only need to rely on new customers they will do well. Do yourself a favor a find another dealership. More
