This is the third Mercedes that I have bought from MB of Cary, the last 2 were from G. Smith. He is probably the reason that I continue to purchase vehicles from Cary. My 2013 GLK350 had an unusual problem with its windshield and the problem could only be seen in direct light...basically crystallization inside the windshield itself. MB Of Cary provided free valet servi and the problem could only be seen in direct light...basically crystallization inside the windshield itself. MB Of Cary provided free valet service and replaced the windshield with no discussion. The Service Manager directed replacement of the windshield vs. waiting for a Regional Service Rep and the Service Advisor drove a new MB Sports Coupe to my house for my use while the windshield was ordered and installed. This my second Mercedes and I purposely bought this latest one from MB of Cary due to the service I received from Kim with my SLK 350 over my 6 years of ownership of that vehicle. Finally, the free valet and loaner service really helps too. Having work with Acura and Ford dealerships, I appreciate the service I received at MB of Cary. D Garner More
I have had Mercedes cars serviced at various locations in NC, but for the past several years I rely only on Cary Mercedes-Benz to take care of my E-350. My service advisor is Kim. She takes care of everything including arranging a loaner car or transportation. She is wonderful about keeping in touch with me and informing me of progress. She has extensive knowledge of Mercedes cars and has given me excellent advice on what I should do and when regarding repairs. There have been several times when I was out of town traveling and called for assistance. Kim has always been great about getting me the information I needed. On one occasion she found the closest Mercedes dealer to where I was and made all arrangements for repairs to my car at that dealership, and she arranged for all of this to be covered under CPO. If you are interested in getting competent work done on your Mercedes without surprises, I recommend Cary Mercedes-Benz especially if you have Kim as your advisor. You will be treated well and so will you car. I would not consider going anywhere else. More
May as well buy from fly by night corner used car lot; will get better service, quality of vehicle & price. This vehicle was kept for a week after the sale to get rid of smells in car as well as turn around service. I do not believe EITHER was done. First rain & the car WREAKS of tobacco & car smells like it is burning up after even short trip. The salesman, AFTER signing final sale, will not even answer calls much less return them. I would NOT recommend this dealer for ANY used car sales. I expect to be in another service center soon to take care of issues this "luxury" dealership left undone. More

I was greeted upon my arrival the first day by David Burr and we immediately became friends. He was extremely knowledgable and explained everything in great detail. VERY RUDE!! customer service from servicing/loaner dept!! Everytime I gave my car for maintenance or servicing they put a scratch or dent on my car. And then I need to take it back to fix the new problem the Everytime I gave my car for maintenance or servicing they put a scratch or dent on my car. And then I need to take it back to fix the new problem they did. One time they gave us a loaner car that had a tire problem which we didn't notice until after we drove home. So we took it back to them. They looked and said itis fine, just had a nail in it and they exchanged it to another loaner car. everything went fine and i went back home that night. Next day they called us and scared us to pay $1000 for the tires which we are not responsible for. the phone conversation ended in 1 min. so everything was fine, and i was at work. I was leaving home from work that night and I couldn't find my car in the employee paid parking garage. I was totally collapsed thinking someone stole my car. I have the keys with me, but I don't find the car. Building security searched for the car all floors, and finally after 1 hour search we gave a Police complaint. Police asked me to call the dealer to get the Registration number. when i called the dealer, then I found out that they came and took away the loaner car from the employee paid parking garage without informing me or my husband or to the security. I had my personal belongings and everything in that loaner car. I was literally in the middle of road that night with tears and waiting for help. This was ridiculous what they did. I was helpless for over 3 hours that night without any car or no transporation. So, they drove over 40 miles to my work place to employee parking garage and they drove away the loaner car without informing anyone or security about it. This was the terrible thing and it shouldn't happen to anyone. I wouln't recommend this dealer to anyone. More
I am still seething over todays events... What happens tomorrow (if they fix my cruise control free) I may upgrade to two stars..... I made an appointment on line about 10 days ago to get my oil change tomorrow (if they fix my cruise control free) I may upgrade to two stars..... I made an appointment on line about 10 days ago to get my oil changed and brakes checked and decided to try them out... Wrong Choice! First and Foremost: Leith owns most of Raleigh's Dealerships..Be warned I arrived an hour earlier than my appointment and told them I needed to be done by 2:30 pm....I arrived at 11:45 am.... He went over my car with me, I explained what I wanted done (oil change and brake check and make sure it was good to return to oregon)...... He tried to sell a Minor service for $189, but I declined... I am used to paying $79.95 for an oil change in Portland.. They charge $129.95 for an Oil change here at Mercedes Benz of Cary.... BUT WAIT! They also charge for a brake check (yes, $20 for them to take the tires off...).. I was taken aback but agreed to the service... I shoulda walked... 2 hours later I inquired where/what was up with my car and my paper work was sitting on the service writers desk un touched for like 30 minutes.. Ughh.. He then hands me a LONG list of issues.. Now, I know my car.. I know what can go wrong..I also know its been checked over twice during my 7000 trip... It was fine both times.. Needed front brakes but thats its.. I walked back with the service advisor to review my car with the technician... I am a gear head, so I do work on my own cars.... He proceeds to show me everything he finds.. First, my lower ball joints.. Yes one has a little play in it... Nothing bad, but needs some help.. I give them that one... BUT you don't need to replace both at once.. Esp at $500. Second my brakes.. This I know... There quote?? $600!!! That doesn't include repacking the wheel bearings... Which is a required mantaince item..Repacking the bearings is $400!! The he says my control arm bushings are cracked.... Um, you can't even see those with the dust cover on and they are a little worn, but for 130k miles, there fine.. $700 to replace those... Then my rear flex disc (its a mercedes/rwd car thing) is cracked... What crack?? Its a little dry and old.. But not cracked.... $500 for that... Oh and my left tail light is out... $55 for that... There was another minor thing for $100... He also had the plastic cover off my engine for some reason (dont need that off for an oil change).. They hand me a total est. of $2,800.00 plus my oil change at $130.... What???? Really??? No way..After some thought, I told them I could get it done cheaper at another Dealer... They acted so suprised and shocked... Like I was full of BS... I kinda proved my point and they worked it down to what I needed and that would be $1228 and I could get a loaner car for the day... I declined.... It took them another HOUR to get my car back to me... To get its complimentary wash... I missed my first important work meeting and was late to see my client. I stood out in there service drive trying to fix my burned out light bulb before I left, and only one person offered help... She sat in the car and pushed the pedal... FInally some one came out and said " OOoh you need a new tail light... Its not connecting right"... I was seething some so I left and when to MB of Raleigh and got them to explain what happend (it was starting to crack, but some one broke it removing the bulb...) After stewing over this, I was driving back to my hotel and my cruise control doesn't work now... It worked fine before I brought it in to these clowns.. Now its dead... No dash lights, nothing.., No cruise control SO now, I am out a tail light and my cruise is dead.... My car went in there fine and needing just brakes and wheel bearing service soon and came out a mess I plan to go back tommorw and will edit my review once they get my cruise fixed...If not, BBB report will be filed and all will know what MB of Cary did...
