Richard Meagher, the most professional motor vehicle salesperson I have ever encountered (and I've bought/leased a LOT of cars). What makes Richard special is his genuine interest in providing exactly what I am looking for. After leasing three MB's, he knows what is important to me and anticipates what will make it a special experience. He is knowledgeable, gracious and genuine. I completely trust him and accept what he tells me without hesitation. Not just during the sales pitch process but throughout the lease experience, Richard has been there with advice and counsel and wants my ownership experience to be a positive one. And while I know he knows that will keep me coming back, he goes above and beyond any experience I have had over 40 years of car buying experience. Every car sales rep stereotype that I had...obliterated. I stumbled across a rare find online (a Certified Pre-Owned E series wagon) at Mercedes-Benz of Cary NC and decided to have a look. I had the very go I stumbled across a rare find online (a Certified Pre-Owned E series wagon) at Mercedes-Benz of Cary NC and decided to have a look. I had the very good fortune to connect with Richard Meagher (pronounced like “Mayor”) at the dealership and ended up buying the car with his guidance. I went in on the defensive. I had done a little homework, researching the values of the used Mercedes and my prospective trade-in on Edmunds.com. I expected to be told that the values on Edmunds were bogus (I’ve heard that before). I also expected the slick, do-it-now, pushy, “what would it take for you to do business TODAY?” schtick (wow, have I heard *that* before!). I was especially concerned about the condition of the used car and the risk of buying a lemon. I’ve bought used cars in the past but not in many, many years and was frankly a little skittish. Richard was (is) delightfully personable, immediately likeable and, importantly in this situation, immediately credible. I heard none of the sales-speak I was expecting to hear. I’ve worked with car salespeople in the past who spoke in sales seminar-ese; everything rehearsed, everything a cringe-worthy cliche. Richard treated me as an adult. He listened to my worries about getting a lemon and reassured me in ways that made sense (read: warranties). He listened to my explanation of how I came to the figure I proposed to him once we got that far. I think we got along so well (and eventually came to terms) because we treated each other like reasonable adults, not adversaries. I have to throw in one last point about MB of Cary itself. The car I bought is four model years old but their CPO prep is the real deal, not just a slapped-on windshield sticker. The car is mechanically flawless and cosmetically spotless. The dealership inspected and replaced items that had proved problematic in this model, some potentially very expensive (e.g., engine mounts), despite their still being in good repair. They even ordered a replacement interior wood trim kit because this model is known to have some fading issues from exposure to the sun over time. I didn’t see a problem and had to look closely to see it when Richard pointed it out. So the bad news is that I have to take the car into the shop in a couple of weeks to have the trim replaced. The good news is that I have to take the car into the shop in a couple of weeks to have the trim replaced, I don’t have to pay a penny for this minor cosmetic refresh, and I’ll have a fine loaner vehicle to drive at no charge while my car is in the shop. Sweet. I’m planning to post this on several review sites so if you’re doing research, you may see it again. My experience with Richard Meagher and MB of Cary was exceptional in every way. Consider these folks the next time you start researching a car purchase or lease. This is the right stuff. More

Leith got exactly the car I wanted and went the extra mile to make sure I was completely satisfied and all without any high pressure or lengthy sales spills. The car we wanted was not available on the lot but Ken was able to locate one in just minutes. I was there on Monday and the car arrived on Wednesday. Thursday morning it was available for me to put it up. When I arrived to pick it up, Ken greeted me at the door and had the new car ready for my inspection. Ken showed me and my wife how to operate the car and instructed us on the many options on the car. He showed excellent knowledge of the car and connected my phone so that it can be used hands free through the phone feature. He was not pushy and was always courteous and professional in all of our dealings. One of the reasons I am purchasing another Mercedes is due to the outstanding service by Kim Fredlund. She has been my service advisor for about 14 years and has always done an excellent job in seeing that my cars are well taken care of. I would highly recommend Mercedes Benz of Cary to anyone. More

He made us comfortable and encouraged us to keep a list of questions we may have when we took our car home and return so he could help us. I've had my new car for a week and a half and have returned with 2 questions which he competently handled. I would not hesitate to recommend him and Mercedes Benz to others. More

I visited 5 car dealerships in the Raleigh and Cary, NC area this week and 4 others on-line. Most of them did little to convince me that there wasn't a grain of truth in those untrustworthy classifications. Mercedes-Benz of Cary was the exception. To start with, working with Dan Keenan as my Sales agent, was like working with one of my best friends. He was knowledgeable, no pressure, no hype, shared his personal as well as knowledgeable professional opinion and never hyped, pressured, or played negotiation hardball. I work in a field that requires me to negotiate. Purchasing my E350, was not a negotiation. It was an honest and transparent transaction working with Dan. I even needed to unload a trade-in on its last legs. Dan and MB of Cary still gave me a fair value. When it was time to write my check, I met William Bell, I thought I knew what was coming - the pitch to buy all the extra stuff that sounds great to have, but might not be appropriate for your needs, driving style or pocketbook with a high pressured pitch. Not the case at all with William. What an interesting man with a rich and storied who's who background. I would definitely play golf with this man! William is personable and friendly and let's you make the decision on how you want to maintain and finance your car. He explains every line item of your purchase in detail so that you completely understand. Dan and William both made sure that I met Peter Hampson in the event I ever needed the attention of Cary MB. Will I ever use this dealership again? Absolutely! I love my purchase, but I look forward to when I go back for a car wash or routine maintenance. These guys are reputable and honorable.
