I went in to look for a car because my husband bought a Mercedes’ a few years ago here. It’s Wednesday and he calling and emailing my husband when he said he wouldn’t and we will be going into Houston from now on to look and buy our vehicles. I went into this dealership and was interested in the GLE 350… I discussed pricing and packages with Rick. We went over the different prices between 3 GLE 350’s. I was there for a while as Rick and I were discussing the differences between the three vehicles & pricing. I decided on the one I wanted, and the price was what the sticker said. I was good with that, and after giving Rick my information a deal was in the works. When I did not share what I wanted my note to be, or what my current note is, and the payoff of my current car, the “sales manager” Oliver Lacy wanted to talk to me. He said (very rude and annoyed) “how am I supposed to give you an amount on your trade in, if you won’t tell me the payoff” I then told him…” My current vehicle‘s payoff had nothing to do with what he was going to offer me as a trade-in, and to just tell me what he thought my car was worth.” I then walked away. Rick comes back to the table with a printed piece of paper with all the numbers…. Note: They added a $10,000 increase on the vehicle I was interested in and offered $20,000 for my car. (Very low) So now the GLE 350 that I was about to purchase just went UP TEN THOUSAND DOLLARS!!! Needless to say my mind was blown! I reached out to another dealership and they told me that this was illegal. Rick confirmed that this was true, and was not right. He also informed me that since Oliver Lacy had been at dealership things were not good. I asked him if he would pay $10,000 more on a vehicle than what the sticker showed, and he said absolutely not! My experience at this dealership was seriously the worst experience I have ever had in my life. I was there for several hours and felt like I was chasing my tail the whole time. I have never had a dealership up charge me on a vehicle and can’t believe they are getting away with this. It was unbelievably disrespectful and unprofessional to hold a customer in a facility with the impression that they’re getting something they’re not. I would not recommend Mercedes of Beaumont to anyone! They are beyond unprofessional and dishonest! More
Mercedes Benz of Beaumont will treat you good and nice like if they care about you as a customer. Bottom line is they are in the business to make money and will very nicely up charge you on your purchase like if they care about you as a customer. They wanted to up charge $5000.00 on a brand new Mercedes that was not 100% fully functioning. They can't for sure tell you when it will be fixed. I called all Mercedes Benz dealers in Houston, Waco and Boerne and none of them are up charging. However Mercedes Benz Clear Lake are getting 2022s in a couple weeks. So, why are the defective vehicles not being taken care of before the production of 2022s like I was being told????? They charge me $5000.00 for what??? Just because they can, if I'm dumb enough to pay it. How about you pay me for taking a problem off your hand, just because it's a brand new luxury vehicle that is not fully functioning as designed. Your great customer service will allow you to ask full price plus up charge $5000.00 on this vehicle. CUSTOMERS BE AWARE... watch your paperwork......UPDATED... I posted this about a week ago and deleted it because the GM Marvin reached out to me saying he would take care of me. I am completely transparent and only expect what someone promises me. After about a week of back and forth of trying to get a purchase order. Which is so ridiculous. I was told by the salesman that Marvin was only willing to sell me the vehicle if I used their financing. Which this specific vehicle could only be released to their dealership with my signature and drivers license. Me using their financing would allow them to hide the $5000.00 for them to get back. One way they do it is by getting you approved at one rate and they are allowed to manipulate that rate to recover more money. I'm not falling for it, that's why I go to them with financing already. But since I will not use their banks, they will not sell me a vehicle that was released to them by Mercedes specifically for me. I called Mercedes and they stressed they do not have anything to do with this and was appalled. But of course they are privately owned and can do what they want. Not everyone care about hidden charges and up charges but I do. There are too many other dealers willing to just make a sale then to let scam artists scam you of your hard earned money. Get your own financing and watch your paperwork. They will not tell you any of this willingly. Again BE AWARE... I have not and will not be buying from Mercedes-Benz of Beaumont. More
The sales team at this dealership is the absolute worst at communication. They’ll tell you whatever you want to hear and treat you like royalty and then once you start the process of actually buying the c at communication. Every single time I’ve had to reach out to them for something since the purchase of my car - they’ve treated me like an afterthought and have a major issue with being able to at least communicate. I wish I had bought my car somewhere else. I will say however that their service department is amazing! More
So I brought my Mercedes back in November. It was at 2013 C250. I had seen their awesome reviews and decided to drive an 1 and 45 minutes to go purchase a vehicle from them. She explained everything in detail and was very polite and understanding. The overall process of purchasing the vehicle was good. However, since then has not been good. The day I brought it I found out later that night, that the heat did not work. Only the cold air worked. So within a week after my purchase, I had to bring it back in so they could fix it. It took them four days to figure out and fix the problem. I was upset that within the first day, something was broken. Not only that, clearly the dealership didn’t over look the car to see that things where not right. As a high end car, I would except they would. Now three months later I go in for my first service. I have a message about my front left sidemarker lamp and my rear driver side tire is leaking air. It goes down from 32 to 24 PSI over night. I also am experiencing a lose in power/delay in response every time a press on the gas to speed up. When I arrive at my appointment at 1, I explain to them all of the problems. 4 hours later I get my car back. I get told they are unable to find anything wrong with my tire. All I was told was “we looked and didn’t see anything wrong” if it keeps happening let us know. Mind you I told them for the last week it had been losing air and had to be filled up everyday I drove it. I would figure they would do more then just “look at it” once again this is a high end car dealership. Clearly something is not right if it’s been losing air everyday for the last week. I was told that my car has two codes in regards to the power and that it needs to be looked into. I was told the price to look into it will be almost 400 and that’s without the part price. Now I have to go back down in a week to have them look into my car and wait for it to be fixed. So within three months it has been in the shop twice for repairs. The message I told them about is still coming on after my service as well. So now I am starting to ask, did they really do and look into the things I asked and what else are they saying they “looked” at and didn’t. I am very unhappy with the service department and excepted better service then this. Very disappointed. More
