WARNING: DO NOT BRING YOUR VEHICLE HERE FOR SERVICE!!! Motor Werks Barrington has managed to mess up once again. From driving my vehicle thru tolls and incurring violations (which they did resolve after nu Motor Werks Barrington has managed to mess up once again. From driving my vehicle thru tolls and incurring violations (which they did resolve after numerous attempts) to driving from Rockford to the dealership and being told that my intouch system was fixed only to discover when back home that it was still factory set to OFF (turning it on has to be done by them manually in the service center). I was fed up with them. However, I needed an oil change and had a windshield replaced yesterday so the cameras had to be recalibrated. Motor Werks Hoffman was booked, so unfortunately I was forced to use this dealership. I figured what could go wrong with such a simple request? I scheduled online, and also indicated on the request that my windshield had been replaced and needed recalibration. When I arrived, I was told by Paul (?) they only did maintenance on the weekends. No apology, no acknowledgement of a mistake made. Ok fine, but it would have been nice to receive a call informing me of this so I could have rescheduled during the week instead of driving 90 miles round trip on two separate occasions. Mind you, once before, the alignment machine was down and low and behold, they let me drive all the way out there without telling me so this isn't new for them. This is not the kind of service you would expect from a luxury dealership. So, after the oil change was complete, upon starting the car, a message displayed "key system error". I immediately brought Paul who got in, turned it off and on, then went to look for a tech. When he returned, he said the tech said it is from resetting things after an oil change and that it will go away after driving for a bit. This did not seem right and I expressed this. I explained this hadn't happened with previous oil changes and that I live very far so I am concerned. I also asked for a time frame. He then said I could stick around and ask a tech about the length of time but he was currently doing a test drive. I opted to just leave considering he said it was normal and didnt initially offer for me to speak to someone until I continued to press him for answers. I left, but called another Infiniti dealership who informed me the error is not normal after an oil change. I then brought the car back. They did discover the issue (which had nothing to do with resetting after the oil change as previously stated by Paul) but what happened next has me disgusted to the point that I will NEVER use this dealership for service or sales again. I told Paul I was upset with the customer service aspect. Instead of offering any sincere apology, he told me that "no one looks at the appointments to be able to let me know if something is available or not", "the other dealership didnt tell me the truth" (but it wasn't from the oil change, which is what the other infiniti dealership said). He pretty much said he stands by what he said and that's that. Very standoffish, condescending and unlike anything I would expect from a dealership, much less a luxury one. I let him know I would be writing a one star review due to how he has treated me, and he gave me a I dont care attitude. An apology and a friendly attitude would have went a long way in this situation. What Motor Werks needs to understand is that I am willing to drive even further to get knowledgeable staff and common courtesy and will do so from now on. More

Great service by Victor Najjar Victor is one of the best service consultant I have ever worked with, very professional, courteous, easy to work with and works very hard to satisfy h Victor is one of the best service consultant I have ever worked with, very professional, courteous, easy to work with and works very hard to satisfy his customers, I would not work with anyone else at the BMW service department but him. Have had very bad experience with previous consultants and did not want to go that dealer anymore, but after I worked with Victor I changed my mind. Thank you Victor! More
Pick any place else Extremely fed up with BMW motorwerks. Will never be back and hope you don’t go either. After having multiple issues I tried to see the best in their service but they only make it harder. My most recent experience was that I dropped my car off because the right tire was leaking and after having the car for 4 days I get back and the car is having the same issue when I go to pick it up. I was told that a loaner would be dropped off if the problem remained because mototrwerks is 30-45 minutes away for me. The issue is still going on two weeks later and they have not even contacted me about getting a car to me. It’s been at least a week that I had asked Derek and had to remind him almost everyday to see if I can get a car. It unfortunate because you’d expect much more from them especially when we just bought 3 cars from them in the past two years. Extremely unsatisfied. Only remained with them because of Chris Lima. He’s great, however this will be the last of my many bad incidents with Motorwerks BMW. Will be going to Elmhurst BMW because they might actually care about consumers. More
