Dennis, your situation is unique compared to the majority of our customers. After extensive research, we had reason to believe that you were planning to ship this vehicle overseas for personal lucrative gains. The GLS you contacted us about is the primary vehicle being exported overseas. For this reason, we do not sell coveted vehicles like this one to buyer's out of state. Our dealership could face heavy fines if a vehicle were shipped overseas from our fleet therefore our management team is extremely vigilant in not allowing the sale of these vehicles to exporters. We would have been happy to sell you a vehicle that was 6+ months old as these are less sought after and are allowed to be shipped per Mercedes-Benz Corporate policy. Our local policy states that we do not accept deposits or down payment for holding any vehicle unless the purchaser is present and purchasing. Out of state checks (certified or not) are not accepted due to the fact issuance cannot be verified. This is why we usually recommended a wire transfer but due to your location, we were unable to accept any type of deposit for this specific vehicle. All these issues were communicated to you politely and clearly by our Pre-Owned Director, Andy Boynton. We're sorry to hear that you were disappointed with the transaction process, but I stand behind our team and I do believe that we did everything we could to clearly communicate our policies to you.
