Had a stressful experience with Mercedes Benz Austin. The General Sales Manager asked him to work with me and said, they wanted my business. As I’m in Dallas, we struck a deal over the phone. I was always upfront that it would be around Feb 1st before I could actually come get the car. Even offered to pay part of the car to hold it Strangest part is they would never give me anything in writing. Their reasoning was “they didn’t want to be fodder for people using their quote to make deals elsewhere”. On Jan 31st I told them I was ready to come get the car the following morning. The sales manager said he wanted my business but raised the price $1800. Part was because he said my trade in depreciated in those 3 weeks … not sure where the other increase was because he wouldn’t tell me how he was getting to the new number. Seemed so bizarre. Saturday morning Feb 1st, I spoke the last time. Said I was ready for the car at the price we agreed. If not, I’d just get one comparable at the McKinney dealership here in the DFW area. Seemed like I had to chase him. He knew I wanted the car. Not sure, maybe he was calling my bluff I bought the new GLE a few hours later at the MB McKinney dealership Again, everyone in Austin was so nice on the phone, just a bizarre policy to not back their offer up in writing. I honestly felt it was unreasonable to expect me to drive over 200 miles to buy a car, without it. All of the MB dealers in the DFW area gave me written quotes. I’d love to talk to the GSM, JP, about their process of only verbal, nothing in writing. Question is how many remote customers are just walking away without saying this is the reason. It may be a good opportunity to rethink this. Maybe they really didn’t want my business. They clearly let this customer walk away, when I really wanted the car. Anyone else has had this same experience?? More

The finance manager Caleb, was very helpful in obtaining for me very attractive finance terms and extended warranty. Finally, I was recommended Montway Transport for the delivery. Brian welcomed me without hesitation and immediately took action. Right before him, there was another gentleman outside who connected me to Brian, who was also kind. The process was so smooth and easy. They even sent me a detailed video showing my car’s diagnostics, the parts they were going to use, and even pointed out exactly where the issue was located under the hood. Brian’s communication was excellent; he kept me updated every step of the way and prioritized my car to ensure I could make it home for Thanksgiving the next morning. They also went above and beyond by arranging transportation for me after dropping off my vehicle and when it was ready for pickup. The difference in service compared to other places was clear—I felt valued and prioritized. My car now drives incredibly smoothly, and they did a quick car wash, upgraded the software, and took care of a few additional details. Thanks to Brian and the team, I made it home for Thanksgiving feeling safe and blessed. Highly recommend this location for their top-notch service, professionalism, and care! More
