I was heading out of town when my 2007 Mercedes S430 engine belt broke leaving me stranded on the side of the e-way. It was 7pm and I knew the dealer was closed at this time. Keith informed me to contact him if I ever had any problems with my car. So...I called Keith Solomon and even though they were closed he contacted a tow truck for me. Keith met me at the dealership and gave me a loaner car to drive while my car was being repaired. I was amazed with the professional service that I received from Keith and his staff. They replaced my belt and delivered the car to my office when I returned from my trip. Keith Solomon and his staff are truly amazing people. I highly recommend anyone owning a Mercedes with service issues, Call Keith Solomon At the Mercedes Benz Dealership in Ann Arbor. Keith is the Service Director and he and his staff will go out of their way to help you. By the way The bill only came to $130. and I was not billed for the use of the loaner car. I would recommend the Novi dealership which has a far nicer physical facility and much better customer service, even if it is a drive. I was extremely surprised with the poor service I received at MB Ann Arbor since Mercedes is known for its excellent customer service. My less than 1 year old Mercedes C class was towed in since it wouldn't start. No one called me about my car that day and the dealership was closed when I tried to call them. The after hours phone service was not working - it would ask you to dial the extension or press "4" for a directory then hang up on you. I tried every number found (at least 6) in the yellow pages, internet and dealer's own site - got routed to the same faulty disconnect or directly to a survey asking how the call went???? when I called them the following day the service consultant was busy and operator said he would call back. He didn't call back for 3 hours...I called him and waited on hold. Eventually I talked to the service consultant - he didn't know what the status of my vehicle was. Eventually he called back and asked me to bring in the other key (10 miles away and I have no car) - I got a ride there and did that. Still no calls from MB - called again the next day (day 3) - same experience with consultant not available/will call back. Eventually I was told that the car needed a new DIS module but they couldn't get that in for a few days (this car is a C class less than 1 year old - fully under warranty). No loaner car was offered - I expressed my irritation and need for a car and they said that they could get me an Enterprise loaner (I would have to pay insurance) and that Enterprise would call me. I have not heard from them yet and can't believe the lack of attention to the customer. Maybe I will get my car back someday. More
Stood around in the showroom for fifteen minutes while four salespeople (including the sales manager) sailed on by without so much as eye contact. Two other salespeople were chained to their desk and couldn't be bothered. There were only two customers in the showroom at the time. However, people who walked in after me were waited on promptly. Not cool and very rude. Brought my concerns to the General Manager who did nothing about - not even so much as an apology. More
