I visited Mercedes of Alexandria to purchase a pre-owned vehicle they had in stock. I met with Michael Prati who was very helpful and knowledgable of the car I bought. Mike is definitely someone I will send anyone in the market for a pre-owned vehicle to see. Debbie Hannon was also very helpful with our finance process, she was very efficient and got all the necessary paperwork done in a timely manner. Debbie is also very nice and willing to help with any questions we have. Overall the dealership was very nice and a comfortable place to do business. I would recommend Mercedes of Alexandria for anyone in the market for a new or used Mercedes as well as other preowned vehicles. More
I leased a car for the first time and Carlo was extremely helpful and knowledgeable!! He guided me through the process, provided tips and always followed up on any detail I had a question about. Since the sale he has been excellent at assisting me with one small service items on the car and answered all my questions regarding the vehicle. Three years ago I bought the MB SLK 350. This was my first venture into a MB of this nature. The primary reason I bought the vehicle was due to the professionalism of Carlo Genao. Due tomthis being a new model vehicle, I had many questions and Carlo was able to answer all ofof them without hesitation. Moreover, there was no haggling over the price. Carlo recommended a fair price from the beginning, and my wife and I have been satisfied since our purschase. Carlo also makes it a point to call and see how we are doing and to wish us Happy Birthdays. I would not hesitate to buy another MB from Carlo. More
When I sat down to write this review, I wasn’t sure how to say what I wanted. I have never had a problem articulating my point; however, In this case it seemed to be a little overwhelming. He is dependable, honest and loyal. I truly have never met a person with a bigger heart with a greater desire to please and make people smile. 3 years ago, I accidentally found him while I was looking for a car. My husband at the time left me and I had nothing to my name. No credit, no money. And he took the only car we had. Until I got a lawyer, I had to do what I could to get by. (As you know, settlements take a very long time) Well, Carlo didn’t realize my situation when he called me back, and I was honest when I told him, I probably could not afford a Mercedes, I just needed a car to get to work and back. He felt so bad for me with my situation that he talked to HIS boss Lowell. I’m not sure how they did it but they figured out a way to work with my credit and the down payment so that I could drive away in the very car that I fell in love with. (Not even sure I test drove it!) So for the very first time in my life, I had something of my very own thanks to these two guys. The Mercedes Benz of Alexandria is not just a dealership, it’s an amazing experience. I feel like a part of a team or clique when I come in. It feels good when people recognize you, and treat you well. Every so often I go in for basic maintenance and such and never feel like I’m being swindled. Most times, the work is covered under warranty anyways, but it’s nice as a woman to not feel scared of being ripped off. If I ever need anything Carlo goes above and beyond to help me. He has taken care of me though these years, and as the years progress, I look forward to new cars with him. I just pre ordered the new CLA Edition 1. Some of pleasure, go find Carlo at Mercedes@Alexandria. When I first researched for my 2013 ML350, I visited all the dealers in the DC metro area. Some of them simply didn't have good knowledge of the vehicle, e.g. could't tell the difference between a 19" and 20" wheel; some were just arrogant; some were not enthusiastic; some lacked the persisting pursue...until I ran into Carlo. He was actually pretty far from me, and I only went to his dealership because they had a vehicle of the color I like. However this causal encounter started a magic journey! Carlo first impressed me with his detailed knowledge of the ML. Small things like turning on the 3-D view of the map, closing windows after the car was shut off with the remote, and turning off lengthy traffic announcement from the navigation system...things like this showed his attention to details and his in depth knowledge about the vehicle, as well as his dedication. This gave me good confidence that I am dealing with an expert. He also let me sit in the car for hours so I could get a feeling about it and foster some emotional relationship with the vehicle. This turned out to be very important for me to make the purchase decision. When I continued my research, Carlo consistently got in touch with me every so often, while other dealers seemed to have forgotten me. I also discovered by accident that Carlo has the most favorable reviews on this forum, compared to all other dealers in this area, and he didn't even mention that to me. When I finally visited Carlo again (as said he's kind of far from me, 30 miles one way), and asked to test drive a Bluetec, he didn't hesitate to find me one that just arrived with wraps still on it. He explained the difference and let me explore it. He also let me drive the gas one again so I could compare. He was friendly and patient, and let me digest all the information and make a informed decision myself. I didn't get a single piece of pressures from him. I felt he's kind and dependable, and will be a valuable resource for me for the long time ownership I intend to have with my ML. After I have decided all the options and ready to make the purchase, I started contacting various dealers to get their price quote. Since I would need to order a custom build, some of the quotes I got were not very favorable. I did get a number of quotes that made me smile :) When I showed it to Carlo, he quickly made me an offer that matched it. So, in no time I put down the deposit and shake hands with Carlo and his boss, and the deal was sealed. Never before my car buying experience was such a breeze, and I only discovered it actually could be fun at this time :) I placed the order on Thanksgiving eve and boy what a peaceful holiday I have enjoyed! Then came the wait for the car to be made. Carlo surprised me with a much earlier completion date. I felt before I even started the wait, the car was here :) When I went pick it up, I found Carlo has kept it in the garage, well protected from the wintry weather (which was a worry for me), and not letting anyone get close to it or touch it. This was exactly the personal attention I would love to have but hesitated to ask for, and Carlo delivered it much beyond my expectation. The ML is cheerful, shinning, and simply magnificent. It is everything I want it to be, and much more, truly a dream car! I feel I have bought the best car with the best salesman, from the best dealership, and at the best price. I am so thankful to Carlo and his dealership for helping me fulfill my dream and giving me this flawless experience!
